festival.
9 \4 x" P# I& ~- f+ N! TBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and% g5 A9 L8 Z1 K$ d
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft* y+ t6 s" {8 ~6 o2 G
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
) f3 L9 r2 z+ j3 z/ GChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the' E- q X6 q# @
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.2 q0 M/ u( S: Z) a# v( n
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for5 Q, f% R" @: w
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the! P, |( Z) Y0 ^- }
recyclables.* m! R8 l3 F( k6 T: W! l9 P# e9 }
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be. w9 Z) R5 y& i7 m1 Y" J; a1 K- Y
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
; O9 h& t. w. s) S2 IHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
0 `* t2 T( p$ {5 p9 O% @, ythem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
/ T) Q1 |# {6 z6 d9 ?hours are part of this crew’s duties. e3 b- t/ H' G: n5 N$ K
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the0 Z( C) f \% f. G
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
* p1 I. ?* V$ q8 }& Iprograms to visitors to the festival.. z5 X8 m) ]& y6 R0 |* Q
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for; q. C% V" L- K$ [# ]7 D
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.- E4 A! _$ _1 K4 q# j2 J6 ]
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed) h* X/ Y: K/ r3 s
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
" L* W9 q$ Q* y! v7 u8 G- B3 rfestival.: l0 g9 E8 B- s# Z
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is# c9 U5 k3 ~* e" x
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you# ]4 Q) R& s1 M# e# L$ o" \- L% k
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
% l2 w5 o9 U$ [( d( S3 g$ oStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training) B1 m# T/ }( E5 J
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.: M( R6 q) W' n' `7 W$ C& E; K
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
3 J& @* o, T) U! Arequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
: K* N& E$ ~, r6 e7 l4 aairport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival& t( m W# [# a+ o) _) \! t* g
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
