q+ l# h& D, i2 u" mBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and- F3 o/ d! R& Z" I
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
6 U! e& f) s: x2 b9 M0 s5 i aprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.7 k ]" G, \ {# e* r
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the2 Y+ G1 i8 j! d6 X) U
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
, S, b( P1 d5 e G4 U% z* SEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for+ Q9 T8 O: f0 e
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the1 Q$ M% f! W$ g" U: m3 z/ ]( c+ H+ x
recyclables./ A% B# P" T) c/ b$ J5 I6 F$ Y
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be0 m0 L4 q, y) X, I
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.! v* n: F: g$ B1 a& ~, {
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing6 B% V7 k. p/ C7 b. X% g
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late# f2 o% {2 k3 w) c* r6 S8 {
hours are part of this crew’s duties.
- Y, J% \8 B8 D! {0 cInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the1 S0 `* O, k' S- t; k
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
) y* I. d- M" g: D+ mprograms to visitors to the festival.$ ?. J% `- m5 F/ s9 y3 C- \; U
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
5 ^" A7 V- Z; r5 J' Y- Aeveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.7 B+ ~ F; Z% y) u& r' D
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
! S* o6 f9 i* a: V( i. {events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
! L. T" [$ t9 s# @# {festival.
: Q* H, ~( S. Y# ]1 Z# ySite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is' h8 P" t9 O8 p2 C! P d) Y2 h
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you( C5 O: D# D: z2 \7 y) x# H1 B
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.5 q6 j7 l1 p. c9 V% t
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training, c5 [" S$ l- h
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.* L2 E! x# v8 g& t$ S
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
( V: B+ A7 j3 b2 S/ Yrequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as2 j, m6 a- \2 g; Z
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
' s1 O* \0 R9 q' K0 {2 ]staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
