followings rare operatic performance.  The organizer has offered 2 free

tickets for each school; please select 2 students from your school to
award

theatre, U of Alberta, Jul. 21, Sat. at 1-4 pm.  The casts are led by 2

% F) j$ y9 j5 B+ q3 ]% r1 S$ Z* {instructors - Lau Wai Ming and Fong Suet Ying, both are Champions of
* K0 W, c; w  {! s; t/ lthe
Cantonse Opera Contest in Hong Kong and was awarded outstanding
: c  D( Q: c% KAchievements
in Arts Education in the teacher category by the Hong Kong Arts
Development
% Z+ o4 |4 s7 I. z& _Council.  Children cast members are ranging from 6 - 15 years old.  The
# s) a; {- F1 b$ W* e" n" m
% }" T  c  u2 U7 B1 g& ^# P7 Vperformance will be done in English with Chinese operatic music; plus a
few
songs in well-known Cantonese Opera... The performance was done to
% M, ?( A2 {  j4 ?* a6 Z6 l7 F; ysold-out
7 l/ }! l5 z/ q0 a( ]crowds in various Hong Kong venues and received rave review from the
