1. Serve as a key business and licensing role within a cross-functional team for identification, evaluation and licensing of strategically important technologies.
{. @. N+ e7 b( x2. Manage technology alliance activities, including the coordination of appropriate agreements’ execution, alliance negotiations, and post-deal compliance in China.
$ j H% a+ I7 {6 h5 a _ X3. Develop business plan and strategy to integrate new technology into existing global research and business platforms.
; f, h7 j# t3 P- g$ U, s: Q+ q. o1 Z% k
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES: N4 i! q- u7 d. `) {
% y. k3 @8 s& n; h5 j1. MBA and/or advanced scientific degree in agricultural biotechnology related fields (such as plant molecular, cellular and developmental biology, genomics, and plant genetics, bioinformatics, etc.) are highly desirable. 0 |. }6 D; y- ]7 A' s/ t
2. Proven experience in technology identification and licensing within China, or equivalent experience with biotechnology research and commercial licensing agreements is preferred.8 z. D) i/ D+ E6 G% f
3. Working knowledge of Intellectual Property policies, including Chinese and international patent regulations and procedures would be advantageous. t* s$ {* @5 M2 z
4. Productive business and scientific interactions and good relationships with major biotechnology institutes in China would be advantageous.6 ~- Q' Y @7 |# r& d
5. Able to work independently as well as cooperatively in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment. 7 E/ E A8 _ [4 m
6. Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese. 6 @8 v5 k1 p% A4 h7 u3 w% F- w; z+ Q
7. Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and problem solving skills.
