ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. We promote community inclusion as a strategy for increasing citizenship participation and action.

Length: A maximum of 15 weeks
Salary: $12.00 per hour

Community Initiatives Documenter
5 \7 A- O6 C2 K8 q$ fThe CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.

9 H: A) h- t7 L* Z! mEducation Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field.

Qualifications:
$ A# H: B/ r  k# j8 I% I1.        Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.
2.        Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.
5 P& j  G5 x% c# u2 N3.        Good organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
) ?2 t/ y& r8 ]+ f0 K1 p4.        Team player and also able to work independently. Able to deal proactively with change and achieve goals through coordination with other people.
