The Organization: Harcourt House Arts Centre is an artist-run, charitable non-profit organization that promotes contemporary visual art to interested individuals/organizations by providing education, exhibitions & resources. - v8 m, |7 @; N6 K
* G9 D8 U( S `$ F3 s4 S) ePosition Abstract: position was created to expand awareness/participation in Harcourt House Arts Centre art ed. programs, as well as to create accessible programming for children/youth to enhance our existing art education and enrichment activities., m5 O/ Z# V/ c( l; }8 ~3 X

Tasks & Responsibilities: to run the 2007 Art Expressed summer art camp from July - August 2007. This initiative will be a continuation of last year's program and involves initial development, marketing plan, co-ordinating logistics, designing/preparing the art education brochure, day to day administration, taking registrations/payments, scheduling and running the art activities & day camp promotions.

PLUS: continued on-site liaisons with Harcourt staff/instructors to ensure smooth operations. And, reporting to the Art Education Manager/Executive Director, assisting with duties involving Harcourt's year-round community art education program.* N" K3 d7 P8 v M* l4 p
# V% k( D# m7 R8 w2 L L& kSuccessful Candidate: Experience in teaching visual arts, or with administering an arts program. Position will require an ability to work independently, as well as being part of a team. This person should be familiar with the Public School Education system & have an interest in curriculum requirements (visual arts).

' `& X; l) C" P" SQualifications/Skills: currently enrolled in, planning to attend, or recently graduated from related post-secondary education or training; computer literate/able to work in a MAC environment, write copy for promotions and design promotional materials; creativity is essential; experience working with children an asset.& @ j3 j( q4 _1 j- V1 i
