22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
6 y; W4 Z2 F! S# [$ _Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
; y, p- T( \: T% ~1 f1 |9 P2 |cleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
" X" m* Z* N9 S5 z1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
beverage items.
: d3 }( o# w& a$ G$ T7 t8 w
6 b# r" @1 ], b# m2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
" Z* o" [1 Y- ^6 ^, O8 @6 L+ Mbar and debit floats.

6 I3 A  q' ~5 C9 h/ e" n) ^) F3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
, U* A5 P0 j( f+ A* u& f- B. Jeach shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
+ C, P0 q  _/ E' F# f0 P. Nattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

" j" i0 R# u7 d* o5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
3 c$ M" F: |, Z. Q3 d* bstorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

$ @' Z( y3 j6 ?7 P2 L! N6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
( _( C& B- T! E' G8 `accordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
7 m, `- l/ H& x* X* V+ W To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
2 S# h1 \: @2 @3 f% c6 JAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

! v9 j2 [' T* E2 c9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
. B8 |& e2 L  F3 eSenior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
; P5 h6 U* K( f& `, a$ K
2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.

( W, P/ u  Y" Y/ d5 M% r# t6 ^3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
- E. r* y: P; a' ]accordance with Students' Union policy.

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
Union staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
attitude.

Wage: $7.73/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
4 m2 u' X+ k8 n. O- {/ t$ \purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
