JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
  Z; j6 w# S5 U8 F: ~$ ?7 v+ {carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
' q. k- a4 g' e1 I% D- I1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

7 s) y! M7 E+ Q6 R6 Y; S# F3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

  _, V% S) {' a& q4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.
) w8 v; ~& G( K( T* m
5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
# s% S  q3 @4 w& Xaction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations

QUALIFICATIONS;
" n) p2 a7 M- o  F+ V0 P5 l1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
# \; _1 d; i0 Y$ {: U) Soperation.
$ C! Q- e" `5 R4 |  g& D* \$ V
3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
" P- w3 q9 K# X% E0 D7 Gpolicy.
6 h2 {3 ^4 ]1 E3 {
4 a0 T+ y1 y3 _4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

% A' S7 I* M& b+ F! \: d0 {! D( B" z, H0 Cprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
