SERVER (RATT)

11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

0 f1 V% ]& Q: h; nJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
0 V+ n! _5 j( S  _1 h( P! zcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

& P6 a6 `' ]5 Y1 Y3 w
  @  ?+ c/ R, \' ]( {DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
% x* t$ P) W' J" [6 \+ zorders.
: n$ |3 V& u7 f+ V# g1 L5 n2 {2 D
2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
5 F6 v2 I) V/ u; c# q" w, fhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
( j/ P0 h- b) U* L3 a, ntotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

$ N2 W' G% E# f; k9 ^2 W4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
) z9 [; ]! }/ ~3 Lincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
: i3 I5 W" K& L& M! ~' \and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
) E" I/ Q. D" G5 `+ h4 b1 L; n1 k' Baction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
' X7 r; q, S) c2 U% L+ Ointervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
) x$ N5 ~# g6 k; [: N$ vAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

& J) c3 g0 s* O! ]2 n, _7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
$ P# }5 |* k- u$ PManager.

# y3 \& `/ z+ I4 jQUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
/ W9 I6 k- \( J
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
" X" |) o0 u) A1 eoperation.
- V' k; L/ u$ A7 o
3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
+ L; _3 k& p; I! r& Xpolicy.
# n) g' N& F& a( G: C1 e
( h( J; ?0 y$ l' m4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
& P8 p5 K. ?8 k9 M6 `! ^% Ocard transactions.

9 I' g5 o+ @' ~2 a: v3 e5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
