# g" y8 r) g) z* aJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
: X# X! s5 q& S1 r7 Lcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
4 {$ B  Z* ]5 B$ c' Hcustomer service and room cleanliness.
! Z5 D( C, x4 P9 k, \7 t' C
2 }8 _( {8 p8 q' z6 i% Q  Z% n, Z
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
0 g& t( ]9 ^# W) s+ H1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
: l# {0 K( @3 s; l$ r: f
; w6 E2 w. m! z' _2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
" u! F' C& u5 t+ f* X9 F& N2 Qaccordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
: G6 N& v1 ~/ ~total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

1 l7 l& \; u5 P! I- Z0 @2 t! f4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
4 Z6 L2 W5 ^' v/ |7 zincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
* Z2 C- }9 i2 N. ^and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
4 p, ~( H; A! J$ V8 \action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
8 j6 i; b9 l0 O1 ~intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
" q& J' S! e# x* R6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

! D& _$ j2 h1 x1 U7 r) l7 x7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
( H' \& }$ e: p4 B1 `" R* |  mManager.


8 M; C; B. y- {& X5 CQUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
$ C" W1 H; K: eoperation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
. `( G: L  a2 X! \policy.
9 E$ L) P  F- v# ~) K" I8 J0 M" n
" T6 X; m8 j7 N. ?2 ]1 {; f: y4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
2 s/ ^  w2 N7 ~) Yprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
