6 U5 I# i' k- w2 s) A4 W; G8 }& T* B; NSalary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
pay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

- _0 i7 m: }2 i5 Z7 A. l+ xHours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
4 j) H% ^) ~3 D) Q7 ^- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
school year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
: A, W7 h. e, d5 ?/ DCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
0 x  M% \4 e# C0 G/ ~venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
# p- e3 o, U, p: V' m+ u( jtheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
4 e2 Y+ g8 t0 |8 T+ Q) ]  n& Vexcursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
$ y$ H1 o; L2 k3 u  U: A- efunctions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
( e) `- G. B6 `# G! h1 bpresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
: B! ~  j4 {1 _+ j( c0 wfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
* f* _2 `; P! m8 O4 B( _a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
, i1 l5 q9 g7 Z2 r/ ^- H: dExcel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
& w/ {7 l$ b& Mexperience coordinating group activities an asset.
