Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
+ X% D& s* @, F9 U( ^pay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
5 |9 @5 Y5 j1 C4 ]. ^0 Gthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the

# a6 m& N$ x- Z. l7 W: oDuties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
" a2 Q+ D. L( Svenues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
( P5 n/ P! h" [3 Eetc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
( ^: c. u. k0 aparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
1 w7 [! D, l* J# E1 {9 ztheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
" a; z1 s' v- r3 otheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
) D! z2 `- j- V% ~% q- Nassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
9 G; x8 a3 `$ k2 noutings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
' ~# x* O- U3 [! O" d0 Dexcursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
  j/ p! p! o# xfunctions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

" I" ], O- W: C+ p8 G7 kQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
5 S* |0 V7 t9 ]/ s- QCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
% T0 p3 G: T7 Y5 J- zdemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
  ~1 L1 c5 \$ e( v( T. Ma variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
* j& v  R7 k# ~* n2 Q; Z3 K3 N' Fof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
4 ]( j1 T1 D' mskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
4 _2 s# z1 |9 F3 y) `Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
