6 K3 m# X. e' aSalary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
pay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
- k# D" h9 W: @" h2 mthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
  z: {! E5 h# E) Bschool year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
/ v) P" ?- H1 lvenues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
3 b- |+ z1 M( }  y2 x% [; N  btheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
& `0 a+ Q; f( g% C% q. Wtheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
4 Z& k$ u& f1 M  W3 P8 Oassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
# O# I; i5 V  s" k8 _venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
0 A, f; O8 T' e- y  N' t( Dexcursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
5 P$ q# B& Z' cexcursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

- j! ~- u8 W) Y( T5 IQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
# `& r* W+ M- \" ~; \4 FCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
+ @+ P) e5 P$ pfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
, `1 j9 g; I; Q* Z; s3 P. d$ w; Udemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
# D* @6 H+ d( n  e! ]; f/ Xof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
/ s( o& @% }- d/ j6 ]skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
4 v8 n1 @  k4 j7 N& b7 X2 @Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
6 g4 ]% G! c( ]6 _/ ]) y; W* w; cexperience coordinating group activities an asset.
