Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
5 d5 ?: L* d$ k+ X( R6 a& uinclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
" l/ E' f* n8 b) z0 w8 C& bcompounds by chromatography.

) k/ Y/ u& M- x# J4 aQualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
6 V6 v) D( @- p6 b( o1 qChemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
( ~8 g: \, G$ T2 q* r8 L. danalytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
8 W! s, g# X' v4 L6 z" eseparations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
/ a7 o5 |! _4 r: t5 R  M/ mof a team essential.
This position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
3 B; R4 p# N* S% |and chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
hope to work in these areas.
