Job Summary:
# ^6 z/ S2 O. l; |; IThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting. p- @6 C" g( B

Monday – Friday 11 am-7 pm

" A. j; E3 G" |; ~Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
- U. O6 S: p; g+ h P( f3 ZInspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
( \7 r0 W2 z) k" z2 Y3 qLoads and unloads non-ferrous material. P8 Z/ k( t( o% r. \+ y- N5 S
Must be able to work safely at all times
" X, L9 Y4 z7 XBe able to effectively perform tasks independently d8 L* q6 { v/ t1 ?3 p0 k3 T
Performs routine housekeeping.# O; t- ^" x2 A" n# W: E: A9 K% n, \& D
Observes and reports any safety issues$ m3 y& r5 y$ ?$ M% g% I' T1 v1 s

Job Qualifications:

Metal recycling industry experience is an asset

Knowledge of non-ferrous processing5 q/ U: J. L# H1 M
High school diploma (Or GED)
' K* H$ r% V8 BWell-articulated and assertive9 u0 z. V5 G5 } \
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization$ Z: e5 R( K4 N I) H" v$ z
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos y4 N, h- M/ ]: S+ F( D( M4 u
Ability to write simple correspondence
