Job Summary:
: U# R: t4 [& [4 y% Y7 \9 A: r1 RThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Job Responsibilities:

Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials8 x) J/ |0 T" |+ P( y! n v
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials" P9 e: X8 K* |5 w. O7 O9 T
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material5 S* f' ?3 k6 h p
Must be able to work safely at all times
) ]; r- f% r$ s" KBe able to effectively perform tasks independently
" F" I2 c+ k. F: t: ?Performs routine housekeeping.

Understand and be able to grade all non-ferrous material properly

Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting' b6 W' w) B$ D3 J- z( L
Knowledge of non-ferrous processing
]4 g; ?' L" S1 V4 LHigh school diploma (Or GED): `/ k) y7 [4 R) Z6 o' S* D- }* Q
Well-articulated and assertive# T7 N0 ]- ?) z p1 ~6 q9 d/ R
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization! {, ]5 f/ B% l& U- Q
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos f7 x- Z5 S) J# l
Ability to write simple correspondence
