Job Summary:
! g, y" V; Y9 X2 {7 b6 X7 i) fThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

9 m+ N1 q/ X6 ?" q9 AMust be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials4 @# H* p7 g4 x7 {" A: ^3 ^
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
0 d: `! V, Y0 o y( X$ ?- qLoads and unloads non-ferrous material2 t# G; F* c" e; E& @
Must be able to work safely at all times$ W: a" h% N+ U1 g
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently& W! w4 Q2 Z% W( D
Performs routine housekeeping.
+ i1 v2 g& H/ IObserves and reports any safety issues3 Y) Y* D/ g8 S

Metal recycling industry experience is an asset

Knowledge of non-ferrous processing; q5 ~+ k8 `4 }+ D0 ^/ Q
High school diploma (Or GED)) ^# x, g1 `3 q/ W' ~1 Y+ j
Well-articulated and assertive
9 U7 n. r/ U) n" q' L: ]Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization
# I$ U0 Z, d, {6 E- r4 @7 e; m; m0 SAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
