The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Job Responsibilities:

Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials! }1 S1 c/ D, g( O+ p- p" Z9 h
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material
8 C- W& u- w# @6 X$ [! FMust be able to work safely at all times
2 t+ \- Q% t# K" |8 r: N8 mBe able to effectively perform tasks independently
" b. c& S# ]) fPerforms routine housekeeping.
' @, A2 y- J' |Observes and reports any safety issues v9 `9 ^0 P% Q" }

Metal recycling industry experience is an asset
- }/ a8 e! @9 i; b6 GExperience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting0 G7 `$ S0 e8 ~
Knowledge of non-ferrous processing9 `5 V8 Y* x3 }
High school diploma (Or GED)
- S6 L! x6 q( A }6 P9 i7 CWell-articulated and assertive
?8 @) G5 ]/ H/ \/ ?5 Y0 b4 K8 bAbility to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization

Ability to write simple correspondence
