Job Summary:
3 B, |' G' ~% a7 k V" YThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Job Responsibilities:
- O3 d: l) j) p" H+ ]: X( A5 ?- x- ?' _% P) L) h
Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
7 h$ M$ ^$ j; p! oInspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials, d2 ?1 P4 Z5 W, ~+ s; c4 m2 U
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material* B( |% ~4 ^0 _% `5 G) O) k
Must be able to work safely at all times) h9 u+ l# N/ J! k
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently
& d8 X' o5 D/ N6 W) vPerforms routine housekeeping.5 `2 f, j1 s: s
Observes and reports any safety issues* j4 K5 p0 F" o, w4 \% }$ F) D
Other duties may be assigned

Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting, j- A5 @* { Z
Knowledge of non-ferrous processing

Well-articulated and assertive9 H3 |6 g2 V% C2 b. p( X
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization5 Q6 q, W5 p2 ]% y( R
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos L3 L( L' e) y7 l
Ability to write simple correspondence
