Non-ferrous Laborer

Job Summary:
+ U0 d: W% a2 F1 P1 J" jThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Job Responsibilities:

Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
5 w- H9 U% F- `Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
2 a7 K/ B' Z/ g& r7 ILoads and unloads non-ferrous material
! z' R5 Q; I: ^& J; j7 Y0 qMust be able to work safely at all times T, V! t$ c) ?, b
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently1 }+ q- r6 ^1 K& [
Performs routine housekeeping.
- q' z$ d: y# X( CObserves and reports any safety issues8 ?9 F8 ~. D" n# J- k' R
Other duties may be assigned

Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting

High school diploma (Or GED)
+ X: X& {; ~# L7 OWell-articulated and assertive
# ]; ?; F5 T4 a5 d& }' z# gAbility to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization
