Non-ferrous Laborer

Job Summary:2 Q, O% N& z5 C3 R! G9 M
The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Monday – Friday 11 am-7 pm

Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials t$ H( u1 a& f. }8 e
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
6 E- t+ @5 l5 K) y! i' ~Loads and unloads non-ferrous material
! w* V" S7 t: O4 x: IMust be able to work safely at all times
* U) s) _* v9 y2 l' f4 vBe able to effectively perform tasks independently" b: T: t, F' ^2 Z4 x1 k
Performs routine housekeeping.
t' N2 ?8 Y2 c) LObserves and reports any safety issues, s0 _ Z) X0 X- J" g
Other duties may be assigned

Metal recycling industry experience is an asset

Knowledge of non-ferrous processing

Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization
