Non-ferrous Laborer

The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Job Responsibilities:

Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials8 n, T( ?( V" p
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
# r7 J* s) i; b7 q2 N* fLoads and unloads non-ferrous material1 b% @6 s8 y7 W" ^7 `1 m$ o
Must be able to work safely at all times
" p8 n" Q% ?0 r% u7 j% P( RBe able to effectively perform tasks independently0 f6 a' X9 m. J5 q1 {9 A% k
Performs routine housekeeping.3 S0 z- O0 e: _3 {, L
Observes and reports any safety issues

Metal recycling industry experience is an asset

High school diploma (Or GED)

Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization
