# y9 z2 L0 ~; X0 OThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. ; p+ K. R& |" D4 l: C* jMust be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
0 {# @9 @* S1 N D+ LInspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
+ s% b. U* ]5 Y$ C5 mLoads and unloads non-ferrous material
4 t1 K2 I! L, S! v0 p8 x! J. I" \Must be able to work safely at all times( y9 y( X& A! M _: A- f) s
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently

Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting- N- _' _4 n& z6 H3 m
Knowledge of non-ferrous processing- _* ?, I8 L8 i. m; y# Y( F7 H
High school diploma (Or GED)* {0 ]% |. q# k% _4 r
Well-articulated and assertive: d4 Y0 i+ H9 a9 l. f
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization8 i9 R. Q( Q' l# T+ b& H$ q
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
