Job Summary:
6 ~, U* N) ] q% I. N- }The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Schedule:

8 w( }- B" w9 s* b2 m) R/ BMust be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
" K) ~5 H8 g5 i) J$ u. zInspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials. ?; q) x5 v. a" T) e8 Z& |) i# u+ _
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material$ f' L0 l. F4 Y
Must be able to work safely at all times/ q, Y# p, V4 H$ ]$ |# o
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently/ h: Z, w1 n2 m. \. M
Performs routine housekeeping.
% C& U* j" ]/ g7 g6 H _Observes and reports any safety issues) U* S$ b9 H; e' ]: ~ `; C" f7 ]

Knowledge of non-ferrous processing1 @# i( a# E# x8 ]' [4 @
High school diploma (Or GED)
) h6 p2 B2 p; }8 G4 Z" f3 d* CWell-articulated and assertive( t) D' o& L5 M/ G. [9 @
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization4 i0 U1 s1 @4 I
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
0 J" U9 e% _ F M7 }' o; HAbility to write simple correspondence
