The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting./ j" m h4 X2 z& H* j+ D# l

Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
6 C- ^" V* C; v' c" l$ P i0 YInspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials2 Y1 Y: m2 \0 ~1 `& u& m% b
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material
0 ]2 Z) e; @* _. m+ c! R8 R3 hMust be able to work safely at all times
1 [1 l$ f1 u0 z6 m8 J* qBe able to effectively perform tasks independently
) v9 `. q% n+ h V" l5 \) @Performs routine housekeeping.
; x0 P+ F$ O; A8 ]Observes and reports any safety issues5 x; e- ~; P" g6 Z( ]

Job Qualifications:

Metal recycling industry experience is an asset
$ J/ \8 P& p' \( VExperience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting
/ @# U, m( y* q$ H# a+ D" u; mKnowledge of non-ferrous processing
! d9 O+ o2 Q0 ~4 Q% n, L- @& D0 O6 SHigh school diploma (Or GED)8 z1 f0 e6 f o( I# D
Well-articulated and assertive8 a' J' @8 b% t6 e% l7 Y1 @
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization" ]0 K4 |% k2 H6 G) X
