Job Summary:
. U) j$ p) k8 a8 t. m6 y8 D9 TThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.6 e! k5 |# w( j( {7 ]$ T: `5 g) m

Monday – Friday 11 am-7 pm

Job Responsibilities:+ b% _2 u+ L% d/ N8 g

Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials9 p+ ?* b0 e! D) i
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
$ f' t0 {, U+ p0 oLoads and unloads non-ferrous material. J& f- C1 W! B, Z
Must be able to work safely at all times
; k3 `2 u2 q Y$ Q& m9 N) ?Be able to effectively perform tasks independently
9 u- W. m/ { \) E+ _/ I; i6 S: \Performs routine housekeeping.
1 F9 Y- K+ m* PObserves and reports any safety issues2 X7 r5 p6 a- S8 G3 M

Understand and be able to grade all non-ferrous material properly

Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting
8 n8 x- l8 H* W( ]) Z( C1 f" TKnowledge of non-ferrous processing
- J! b5 a% a+ W! K$ _1 HHigh school diploma (Or GED)* [3 L( L, ?0 ]
Well-articulated and assertive& t4 X5 r" e& B
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization9 b) e# O$ `3 c V/ t4 v& M
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos8 @/ k0 w( h- v0 o! b
Ability to write simple correspondence
