Job Summary:
4 Z% [3 ]8 Q y C, wThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Job Responsibilities:

% Z7 o" S: P: _6 \8 W0 fMust be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials0 T8 T9 Q6 @, X! k$ v$ R7 i
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials5 m7 b$ n, O3 Y
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material
) Q) P" e8 E! DMust be able to work safely at all times
( ~( F8 w$ ^9 S4 sBe able to effectively perform tasks independently
) r5 G j* l& a7 O) [Performs routine housekeeping.7 h2 Z/ b t( v
Observes and reports any safety issues
4 A9 P; G9 E* }+ d. YOther duties may be assigned

Understand and be able to grade all non-ferrous material properly

Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting

High school diploma (Or GED)' k( R9 [ y( G( P& p
Well-articulated and assertive/ v# F" e. S. r, u$ i; |
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization

Ability to write simple correspondence
