Job Summary:
' {# J' U( e' c9 k+ D3 K1 d' l0 iThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
- a* m& Y: f1 ^1 UInspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials5 F; t- {4 g. X' C. Q5 C
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material
7 z0 I7 G3 b: j4 T' }+ A& A! `Must be able to work safely at all times/ ^5 Q3 L( F% c
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently( V \# O( F/ @* u6 a2 R
Performs routine housekeeping.

Metal recycling industry experience is an asset

Knowledge of non-ferrous processing
+ t) G& A3 R% y1 v4 t0 l2 m4 d, {High school diploma (Or GED)9 @7 `5 O2 Z1 h( Q, y J" w' C) k
Well-articulated and assertive
2 H2 m e$ K2 CAbility to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization# U3 Z) [! ?3 @* s0 y
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, w- J Q0 K2 W/ j. v8 ^4 I* V6 S
