Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and+ y, O" v- g% ?8 o- P

You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
6 k1 o9 V5 i1 a5 llab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
# x* [* f; s3 d2 B& }centre.9 Y, z+ C) C5 b' m8 d# X0 W1 U
These responsibilities include:* e+ y& B! p. |
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
- E1 `3 e# H6 g+ _2 C( R I-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
6 {2 r% ?) H4 `, a8 v% F- H-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
' c# w+ G5 L: trenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to ' V. T/ O- Q& X, e: R% ?
facilities’ maintenance, etc. : v( J' g+ K2 ?4 c4 F# B, }
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic
7 X% D* F5 ~6 M5 i0 ^0 o1 Oclients’ files etc.

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, 1 w! K, |1 ]' u# j/ G6 w6 U
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination

Knowledge/Technical competencies:; W/ \8 y- ]9 A/ j
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.: h5 t" D+ t d
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word0 S8 B. z# I1 e. U; E6 ]! H# K

-Experience using and updating an information database. 4 K2 Y, T5 H5 l# c: ~+ c

-Experience in web page publication, xml and/or IT network knowledge.
