" S9 I: r) P$ D3 n- Mweekend hours.
+ J! [6 J R3 X: V; _You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer. E, }9 O8 l4 d+ R$ w
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the' h. E7 Q( o( R5 A; n q
centre.
% V9 ^! f' J* Z8 X8 LThese responsibilities include:
- I6 s5 Y8 T; U: a5 A$ U3 |3 K. k-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.* `0 n* w. ~0 v
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.4 G3 @+ l T- g6 V0 M
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
5 a# \6 ], E' s* m! p. R8 k* V4 Urenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to & J5 W s. E+ b; r( P. V
facilities’ maintenance, etc. 0 S6 T7 [6 \9 l. w. I" n
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic 2 l1 ?4 w+ O, Y; f _, G; Y
clients’ files etc.

1 g# V6 m# z" M! e. EEducation:
; `" a- H# I8 r( F( D& F) c-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
- F" O% ~+ K5 s" O4 v2 c# }6 \education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
( H! e0 w# v4 ?: xof education, training and /or experience. ; U8 L; r% h) W* u$ L6 C
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
( ^4 i/ |. r- N-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
6 Q6 [& u* q# q1 ~-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word. g/ `/ H! [0 V5 ~( F9 F" i5 C Y
and Excel. 4 C( L \+ p5 W
-Experience using and updating an information database.

-Experience in using MS Access.

-Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
