Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and) H% A. e- b6 S" P, L. z
weekend hours.
1 V% }* U6 T& `You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
6 d. N z. f7 B: A0 O7 Y. `lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
3 i& d' m- l C/ Zcentre.
* b9 R W! ?# y9 dThese responsibilities include:
K7 e p' Z, J9 ~-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.# P M$ n" T" O1 \
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.% y3 Y0 K9 \% S- [- I4 [. j5 ~: z# [! O
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and2 g! A7 A5 s: e U9 U, F5 \
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to + T6 z1 I1 n8 u) |' ^2 n
facilities’ maintenance, etc.
1 v0 p* |" h q1 Y) s-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic 3 Z" Y3 D* b4 x, b- O0 n0 x" J

Statement of Qualifications

& M! b7 N. T- G5 H. e& a! ^-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
- f7 t. G$ q4 O. B8 z. q, g/ Ieducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination , o9 Z0 [9 `% f3 e4 e
of education, training and /or experience. 9 j$ F0 |9 F1 Z
Knowledge/Technical competencies:2 r) D; g" J# C3 m0 q
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.. ~6 w+ h/ k3 H! _9 k: b
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word7 f( t! a* ~) h! X& D- A7 N6 _8 G
and Excel. ; v7 F* E2 \) _7 U) `7 H, A- v
-Experience using and updating an information database.
