Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
% b2 U/ L) z, i! N5 _& o+ @4 u% o
# b+ J; Q, f* R· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
" Z6 a/ r6 g0 V& t" V& o% O; o4 ]' c
( {4 r2 `6 {' I8 |! K; x· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely

  i! x$ e. M6 @  `0 f7 ]2 F· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
) s9 L$ h4 s4 ~+ k/ L# p: z6 U( R2 e( gQualifications and Training Requirements

5 o9 _! B7 q( |( W+ g: V· Minimum 3 years experience
- v, }0 }# M9 @$ j* E
· Valid Class 1 license

; e; q5 e$ `6 L) G" _4 E; t" Z) S· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

2 D) y- @  I  o& k· Load securement certification

5 O( B( N; U, P! x( R· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

# B2 x5 Q. c) ~0 `, X8 j· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
