Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

- Q4 l! [0 Y1 H' |& P· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

$ ]6 F3 X* R7 Q2 Q7 b/ L- H. g+ I· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
$ h/ H, |' ^- i) b6 Y$ D9 K; e
· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

: l; d6 g; P, V· Operate manual and automatic shifts

  E7 v. F9 V# \4 i# l· Secure loads safely

  F+ ~, A6 f4 x. }- J' h' u· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements

% }, L) l' W4 f* n2 x% I· Minimum 3 years experience

7 W( `) q# _% p  U' R· Valid Class 1 license

5 d5 ?& M! r) _" l  |- ^· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification
! X. V+ V5 H# c, X& Q
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

. R( ]( i3 G  V$ c# Q; a· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
