The procurement officer is responsible for:% f+ o9 Q- \3 Y) W
- Identifying and serving the needs of each business department; Z9 R* G3 o/ J/ v* v% T
- Sourcing and evaluating local, national or international suppliers2 Y: A. W m3 V5 V) S" B' ?: J
- Negotiating terms, conditions and contracts
( _+ q' `& \/ _. T( Z5 [: Q! w- Building and managing supplier relationships" a) ]8 O- R: N9 @& U3 y
- Performing cost savings and profit margin analyses
' b3 I2 k3 A( E& Y- ]& F. O- x4 P8 ]4 Q9 v; _) a x# U
Requirements:
8 U+ R7 r% p& o0 o7 p. \( ^- Sound research skills
% Z7 l: B6 F h% a+ F3 w- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
0 T4 G. y5 _* H+ ?4 H) e! V- Strong organization and time management skills , u5 ~- C8 Q& q# o% V( B% k4 E% k
- Friendly and outgoing personality + C, S- H& V, {* L) t1 B
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook ) p' ?# e8 P$ E0 E1 P
- Cycle counting and adjusting experience preferred
; N5 X& F- q' h- o- Experience with mechanical parts, welding materials, PPE and consumables for the construction industry is an asset 2 A. }! r( B; B- H% c* [/ M
- Experience with Inventory control is an asset
