The procurement officer is responsible for:

- Sourcing and evaluating local, national or international suppliers
+ Y+ c4 O# J5 N- Negotiating terms, conditions and contracts
+ m% B+ L3 ~2 p1 g8 J- Building and managing supplier relationships
! R; ?- z; n, a8 ]/ O3 P9 e% A% E- Performing cost savings and profit margin analyses

- Sound research skills
* |! d4 @7 G1 j: x% y- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

% m4 P) \, p: `! O( s4 P- Friendly and outgoing personality
4 C+ O7 f" ^9 j8 _9 `- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook $ I* H7 f& l( `8 b2 w1 s8 @2 A
- Cycle counting and adjusting experience preferred
- B9 @! q, w2 b. s9 n- Experience with mechanical parts, welding materials, PPE and consumables for the construction industry is an asset . u- c' D8 l+ }2 F9 q5 G
- Experience with Inventory control is an asset . y" \2 X3 ^9 U& \+ e& t
