Canada North Camps Inc. (14238 – 134 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5L 5V8) is looking to hire a full-time Cook who could be responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of food items while maintaining a clean and safe work environment adding to an all-around pleasant dining experience for our customers.
Duties:
% z- r, z9 C! o# Q) P- Prepare sandwiches, salad bar and other high quality meals
- Supervise kitchen staff
7 A0 o1 a: k  M" i' K: P% }7 O- Ensure kitchen staff follow company safety practices
- Plan menus, estimate food costs, order supplies
* p6 S9 T  Y- n7 _/ W7 W  d- Manage kitchen operations
- Maintain acceptable levels of food production
- Work night shifts, as necessary
Requirements:
, |9 R6 |  J7 L- Completion of college or other program in cooking is mandatory. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in restaurant / hospitality/ culinary arts is considered an asset.
* |' h4 a8 A8 g# @+ `6 G- Minimum 2 years of previous experience as Cook in a fast-paced environment is mandatory.
3 p8 b; t: _  _. K& e- Good proficiency in English.
& H# q, ~' v: t" m+ V) q+ l& S' x- Highly organized.
This is a contract, full-time position.
! r9 h  z4 [/ v2 r% OWorking hours: 10 hours per day, 70 hours per week.
$ V4 a- S( J1 z) h% FWorking schedule: 21 days on and 7 days off.
Salary: $160.00 per day. After 3 months of employment, medical, dental, disability and pension plan benefits will be available.
