Today I was volunteering at a post office. A man in an old jacket with uncombed hair came to the counter. He had a wallet in his hand, and put it on the counter. He told me:
3 X; V4 Y K7 m- b! q+ R"I am going to send it back".
1 W3 ?* J) U. s) S/ m! z XI did not understand what he meant by "it", because usually people would send a letter or a parcel back to the sender, and I did not see he had any of those. So I asked him:
/ B; s; {% h/ ] "I am sorry, what are you sending back?" ) N, M( k, x$ U: q, S: C* ^
He said, "the Wallet, I am sending back the wallet." Then he added: "I am going to pay the postage." ( X9 |! i) X& O+ k+ b7 H; x6 [
"Oh, you found a wallet, and you are going to send it back to the person who lost it?" ( v$ I# @4 ?' c- z. t* t
"Yes, I did." X7 o5 E! a, m; Z
Finally I understood: this dishevelled man found a wallet, and he was going to return it to the owner by post.
/ m; e6 z' W- kHe took the ID card from the wallet, and showed me the address of the loser of the wallet. I saw there were several one-hundred bills in the wallet. % d6 J% e7 i$ Q% k; K$ o6 }
"Are you going to take some money from the wallet to pay the postage?"
+ Y* R! z( S" e2 Q"No, I am not. I do not do those things."
- U# P/ H. S9 k( y7 ~He took out his wallet, which was nearly worn-out, small, and almost empty. There were some coins inside.
! R8 r, r0 m7 lI gave him a bubbled envelope, and instructed him where to write the addresses. He wrote the owner's address, but stopped at writing a return address. He asked:
" J' H' v h% Z; ^0 b' E"Is it okay that I do not write this part?"
, O$ W7 Z; v' {8 H"Yes, you may." I thought he must want to be a nameless hero. But he said:

4 U) e4 Z& I+ z. i: m) |. W, m! EI was surprised: "oh, where do you live?"
, O8 s/ s( l4 NHe did not look up, and said: "I do not have a home."
e! O ?2 M! ?My heart had a sudden jump. I realized that this is a homeless man who found money but was sending it back to the person who lost it. $ K) H- [; `% y1 B% C2 x8 T) h
He did not a posses a home, but he had a big heart. He had the precious fortune of being a man of integrity. : o5 c( Y3 i8 S. q! O( J3 p
