Today I was volunteering at a post office. A man in an old jacket with uncombed hair came to the counter. He had a wallet in his hand, and put it on the counter. He told me:

I did not understand what he meant by "it", because usually people would send a letter or a parcel back to the sender, and I did not see he had any of those. So I asked him:" |% b9 |! I+ h
"I am sorry, what are you sending back?"
3 @+ N P c' m% d3 \He said, "the Wallet, I am sending back the wallet." Then he added: "I am going to pay the postage." $ W' T6 a. Z% \( v: f' `% y5 U
"Oh, you found a wallet, and you are going to send it back to the person who lost it?"
# I W7 ^3 w$ J/ s' x4 P"Yes, I did."3 q4 [; ^1 v, k4 h0 F+ `
Finally I understood: this dishevelled man found a wallet, and he was going to return it to the owner by post.
6 ?, r8 c; w- }9 l0 u& @0 iHe took the ID card from the wallet, and showed me the address of the loser of the wallet. I saw there were several one-hundred bills in the wallet.

He took out his wallet, which was nearly worn-out, small, and almost empty. There were some coins inside. # Z3 I0 ` A3 M6 M) p- n
I gave him a bubbled envelope, and instructed him where to write the addresses. He wrote the owner's address, but stopped at writing a return address. He asked:. H0 F0 D8 \4 x4 o$ k$ N$ A
"Is it okay that I do not write this part?"7 w7 G2 }& o& z) Y; p5 ?# Q" ^
"Yes, you may." I thought he must want to be a nameless hero. But he said:, k; ?; ]8 R' i, }
"I do not have an address."8 v1 V6 j0 u6 W$ x+ U. t% u( b. [
I was surprised: "oh, where do you live?"
, y# ]% }! t- Z0 w( ^9 F7 QHe did not look up, and said: "I do not have a home."
2 \# A; L+ M( n5 eMy heart had a sudden jump. I realized that this is a homeless man who found money but was sending it back to the person who lost it.
