Today I was volunteering at a post office. A man in an old jacket with uncombed hair came to the counter. He had a wallet in his hand, and put it on the counter. He told me: " O+ k+ z3 D# ~$ R4 g+ m
"I am going to send it back". 0 l) g3 T6 E9 v, g) ]: |" ?4 }2 R; q
I did not understand what he meant by "it", because usually people would send a letter or a parcel back to the sender, and I did not see he had any of those. So I asked him:

He said, "the Wallet, I am sending back the wallet." Then he added: "I am going to pay the postage."
# v6 t" D* G( y- i"Oh, you found a wallet, and you are going to send it back to the person who lost it?" * S& G! P5 c) I, j
"Yes, I did.", B3 d* M; F) W" _% s* W
Finally I understood: this dishevelled man found a wallet, and he was going to return it to the owner by post. 3 H( R1 c) a0 U! a1 ]
He took the ID card from the wallet, and showed me the address of the loser of the wallet. I saw there were several one-hundred bills in the wallet. . _8 ?) `3 N# D* U
"Are you going to take some money from the wallet to pay the postage?"/ {1 {: _9 o* x
"No, I am not. I do not do those things."
7 E! z1 d1 x8 u7 n1 L! YHe took out his wallet, which was nearly worn-out, small, and almost empty. There were some coins inside. 6 f5 L d4 U) n% C$ n5 K
I gave him a bubbled envelope, and instructed him where to write the addresses. He wrote the owner's address, but stopped at writing a return address. He asked:

My heart had a sudden jump. I realized that this is a homeless man who found money but was sending it back to the person who lost it.
