About us:
- x! R0 ?4 i/ X4 p3 r3 y0 HWe are two young individuals who run our own investment fund in Edmonton.

9 U- o( m: `1 g. M- rInvestment strategy:
We follow the investment style of Ben Graham and Warren Buffet. We seek to buy shares in publicly traded companies that are priced at significant discount to their intrinsic value. We also seek to buy shares in great companies at reasonable price.  We have a long term investment horizon and are willing to hold great companies forever. Our fund invests in U.S. and Canadian public equities, though we will also look at opportunities in Europe and other regions.

The opportunity:
2 H# C6 P) |: u( y9 dWe are looking for two analysts who are interested in value investing to join our team. This is neither a full time nor salaried position - the only people who are the right fit for this position are those who are truly interested in value investing. However, there is opportunity down the road to be a partner of the fund.

$ t' C  Y! [3 W9 l1 fI have been contributing to this website for a while now and this is the first time someone has accused me of trying to scam people - I personally know the partners / analysts of the fund and I assure you this is not a scam (what's there to scam for a job posting anyway...)

If you read between the lines, you will understand why the fund does away with the unnecessary costs.

0 [% Y: b  |/ u' L3 ETo put it more explicitly (or to be more clear), the fund is young and in the process of growing capital, hence it needs to keep operating costs to a minimum. This is also why, as mentioned in the original posting, this is neither a full time nor salaried position.

Without name of the fund, capital size, even a private email domain that costs no more than a few hundreds of bucks and can be made with a couple of grands in a good day trade, what kinds of analysts can you attract? IMHO, an analyst without extensive persononal investment and industry work experience is useless. You might get some rookies desperate for a paychque and does not know anything about trading beyond some lectures from university professors who do not have trading experience either.

This is not a day trading job where you sculpt the market and make "couple of grands in a good day trade" (and lose the equivalent of or more than that on a bad day). As mentioned in the posting, "We have a long term investment horizon and are willing to hold great companies forever."

This is a young fund. Where it stands right now is comparable to the earlier stages of a start-up as the partners are managing the dual process of making good investments as well as planning for the future/growth for the fund.

5 U0 R0 J5 N1 X0 q+ bFor the analyst, you get the opportunity to partake in the start-up and growth of an investment fund, and there is the opportunity in the future to be a partner of the fund.

再实话实说

他们讲了很清楚了，两个年轻人准备投资股票，建立一个成长基金，然后邀请你把钱放进去。你就是这个成长基金的合作伙伴外加分析师再加VP。 。。。。，再以老鼠会形式推销给 别人。每年分好20%，你第一，二年真的拿了分红。
你的代价是本金拿不回来了再加上众叛亲离。
您学习到了成长基金就是成长的代价！！

1，工资没有不重要；
2，做分析研究，可以；

问题是，你们提供什么作为回报？就是一个将来成为合伙人的机会？ok，那么你们告诉一下你使用什么资讯平台，bloomberg, reuters? 可以作为研究公司的数据资源啊？如果只是用google的话，哪自己做和你们一起做区别在什么地方啊？
