买房的免税额度

去年买了房子,听说可以在报税的时候有7500的免税额度,不知道是不是真的。请问可以随便报在夫妻哪边吗?

You can claim an amount of $5,000 for the purchase of a qualifying home made in 2013, if both of the following apply:1 W6 s3 C' P3 Z
•you or your spouse or common-law partner acquired a qualifying home; and! U8 S. z8 m. R3 N/ f2 B% S
•you did not live in another home owned by you or your spouse or common-law partner in the year of acquisition or in any of the four preceding years (first-time home buyer).
( S8 h4 B& d( y0 `/ RSo the non-refundable tax credit is up to $750.

这样看似乎免税额度是 5000 不是7500?是必须买新房,还是买的二手房也算啊。

A share in a co-operative housing corporation that entitles you to own and gives you an equity interest in a housing unit located in Canada also qualifies. However, a share that only gives you the right to tenancy in the housing unit does not qualify.' y+ D. t" [" }" o& K( @  f9 {9 q* F8 d& y

/ e3 E$ r! S+ C) s% b在税表的Schedule 1 - Line 369行填上5000,折合成tax credit =5000*15%=750. 就是把你的交税额减去$750. 7 M# u& R# l& X5 z  S5 p

The claim can be split between you and your spouse or common-law partner, but the combined total cannot exceed $5,000.
. r/ _' X# D5 \6 C( N$ s1 i0 y2 ]& T# z6 S0 [
When more than one individual is entitled to the amount (for example, when two people jointly buy a home), the total of all amounts claimed cannot exceed $5,000.
