Overall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales

Key Responsibilities:
9 Q# E5 X3 ~+ Q4 _& b
• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales. 
! d1 q, C# i4 z# u
• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.
 z( v# Q# M4 c" L) h/ ] V
• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year./ F% ? [, w0 d6 D7 F8 P, z

• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations. n: }7 f7 X0 i2 _1 |7 g# U

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales.

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours. 

! {& ^8 c) ? b+ O! I6 V• To develop customer relationships with gold level customer base and industry organizations.

• To build extensive product knowledge over various categories and be capable of driving sales in achieving sales & profit targets.% o- c/ W+ l7 i) {7 B

• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin 
! ]6 K8 j* R, f( \) ~* R
• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.

• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.

• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.

• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.

• Travel within the assigned region.

• Comfortable using automated selling technology in a daily setting – Salesforce.com
