Responsibilities

( t. R, h$ D; C. x* d/ o·         Engineering 480V to 38kV switchgear

4 x0 [+ o) L8 P+ j·         Engineering 2.4kV to 7.2kV Motor Control Centres including softstarters and autotransformer starters
$ h/ t. B. c0 T5 `$ e1 J0 M
; y& K; ~) d# U·         Engineering fully integrated electrical buildings

2 r" I8 w  z1 ~0 ]. J# f·         Reviewing vendor drawings

·         Analyze customer drawings, specification and engineering notes in order to create a design that meets the customer’s needs.

·         Create a scope of work by identifying the company’s agreed to obligation.

2 l" W2 r2 E. f# ]( p·         Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

·         Assist project management and estimation with draft budget changes, based on customer design/scope changes.

5 d7 m+ Q* q" w·         Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

·         Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

·         Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

·         Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

Position Requirements

1 Q/ M+ N  `: u! W) q·         BSc in Electrical Engineering
8 G6 Y7 R! ?8 u$ k* O. G
2 M% q6 b  G5 U' s- Y3 s, g, p·         Registered with APEGGA as an Engineer in Training

·         Attention to detail is a must

3 U3 m( P! H; Z  z* ?2 s5 T·         Experience using AutoCAD is an asset

: b$ B% `! T! O7 d' B4 I6 W' ?·         Experience with Microsoft Office is an asset
6 o; Y: O, [- @5 c5 o
·         Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

4 s& n, q* Q1 ^9 q  N8 z- ~, b·         Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

3 L: D; `; `! s  M·         Ability to manage the engineering of multiple projects simultaneously

·         Strong written and oral communication skills.

·         Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.

·         Possess a Class 5 driver’s license
