Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

; ?& a. a& v! P• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
# p! ]( x0 i! r* X4 v- Z) d• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST, R0 B: I% Q$ [
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately3 I: D7 b, {8 D
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
# ]9 P3 T0 b! |% k8 \- C o, s1 j0 T• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
1 ~# w) G& q& }• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
! ?" G8 h+ p5 N# E' r• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events, ^0 e- L9 x, t$ d- B; h
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events0 \3 P# z: ^! B$ C- z( G$ C' f
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean+ B( _5 o" |- g2 G
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
4 b1 q4 @( ?3 i* A; ?• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person/ p$ `# t1 k0 Z; ^# F9 T3 n: o' _
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset1 g3 `2 w' V- X$ W p$ Y" g. F& l
• Good English writing and oral communication skills# j1 M1 h& \0 J. C
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
4 M6 Q& a! N' k. z5 S• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook$ \( H2 Y' C, Y
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

Qualifications:
9 f0 E2 N6 M# \• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
% ^. z% b" e7 d• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
: _ p6 u, ~! o& i9 s• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
2 { m0 X, Q) j* D4 r9 B+ w4 S* n• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
