Hours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person) B t6 Q8 v( L: w* u
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
8 X, b! W4 p+ J. P" f& H• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
& k- A C5 a& v/ B: S$ _, A• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter/ A+ o6 c3 }: G1 B0 M
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
$ }3 |8 L2 g( i- ?" y• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker; \* ~! t; B6 B+ ?
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
: I t0 ]0 [: c/ e$ {. f! `0 p e• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
6 J% D r4 b5 w. k• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person' l1 ^- a/ O5 j. s2 _. H( v
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset5 r! J* v5 g2 v
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
+ S3 D- @8 A7 g& c& A- P' [' O• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
. f9 s4 Q2 K4 z* `4 D2 l) a; v0 G• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications:! {# ^$ |+ {8 f5 u7 q! u$ \% R
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience # X3 k* Z8 u/ \- S" x) A. ^
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment/ g K2 v& X+ x" Q. w; ~4 P- X
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism! N" C- H% A! l, m
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
