Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. # g, k, K5 g+ Y* `

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person: }& r% v; N5 j# [3 ~% d, B/ G2 U
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST% h p- ~8 e4 m6 j
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately7 S$ A# y3 {& X. |
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
4 F h, Z& E `4 Q/ z, i7 W, @! m• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
3 r, d( _# G; H% ?; ]6 @: |: k+ i• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker; @5 k" M j" O8 l/ c0 L5 U
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
\3 a# C1 Z- ]• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events' j! l* T H0 c$ H8 p
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean" `8 ]) l0 m6 O
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters1 F6 `! a' x% j" F/ A7 H7 Q
• Maintain front counter service files" O2 _3 r! w" p7 h6 q
• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset4 s. ~% \5 y) Q5 Q5 B
• Good English writing and oral communication skills0 U8 y6 n8 b9 x/ n; u+ }' ]
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients

• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 7 ]/ i1 ~1 z1 o, j
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
8 N1 Z @7 ]4 m% c% a" ?0 i• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
! o" |$ p" I u) r, }6 T• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
