The opthalmologist likely felt confident about his/her diagnosis based on the symptoms without the need for culture test. It's hard to say. , b! W8 _2 U- p. ~! {In your case because it's getting worse, the best bet would be to go to ER again and specifically ask for a different referral for a different ophalmologist./ C' R2 [9 i& l.
