Key Responsibilities

( C( v5 s8 f. ?1 l% p' U4 K- provide volunteers to update membership database
, s: g, k3 i& l+ K: _/ I/ k- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers4 g- u, Z1 r6 Q& p$ y
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
. @8 g& c7 {: }# D9 e* Q$ W- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties" F. K0 Z# I( m: q8 K- z
- provide volunteers for various programs
# @$ y& q2 H, \7 o# d- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
! T( M* |+ l7 w' c. q- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
4 }/ b. ~( @0 S8 I- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
& p5 l- V$ R1 \0 c0 h0 V. Q- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
0 }0 M' }% `, S+ z8 B4 g b- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed

- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

8 C: X# L- g$ e8 ^% I8 R- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers ! I3 E/ h" q6 D1 p3 p6 r, y
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
$ |! x$ A8 j4 A( s; I& k- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre* t9 \: u9 R, R; g" S

Qualifications: n3 _" ?8 L" ?. \" C
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education8 m5 p) j) W M. H p4 u
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills6 q' K, t8 \4 S$ q" `( J! z) y
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services, O$ W4 h4 l" V' H' L
- leadership skills+ d0 i+ y, L2 L
- management and supervision skills% b+ |3 L2 l8 m
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills G, I8 A9 t) n r
