- provide volunteers to update membership database
' P& ~" |! z* T1 e- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
! I- F5 {% }9 {1 T( K w- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
: Z! t V2 W1 _- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
, Y( w9 J: {$ `* y- provide volunteers for various programs
/ ]4 W! J8 k) l( D& W% E& _- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual8 X) J: B2 x7 o3 f2 g9 m
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
) M5 |1 u. z- A$ C6 N- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
% l% H( W: y. [) u- N( M- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
. E! @ k1 ^5 l# S% \. b& ?- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports

- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers ; K* Y7 V! ?# f: Q" {
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers

- evaluations

- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education& x) y; r9 p) f9 n2 w/ M2 k1 V* }
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills0 U. g+ J+ [6 _: P
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
9 r" R: K4 x2 @/ p2 ~- leadership skills/ U1 x1 M* Q9 U8 T
- management and supervision skills
0 H0 w2 Z0 F: J9 Z8 f# B- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
