M( PWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 3 v3 K9 J; ]8 Z+ V$ h

Key Responsibilities:3 C, O9 N% G, g
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person' ]2 J+ s6 c1 }
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
! j6 U/ n9 r5 e9 y$ G. E1 X3 [7 I• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately+ L/ {& w6 W) ]: ^4 u
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter2 Y3 v H) u. H, Y g/ ]/ D+ e4 ?
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
$ b- j! a" u# `% D+ V' j$ |$ t: f: @• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
& ?, _9 H, \3 _• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
$ _& h/ P1 H; L! X$ N• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
7 P6 u2 C9 N9 S• Keep the reception area tidy and clean7 _, F7 }7 a2 ~
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters, E% F9 c" }' n2 G
• Maintain front counter service files

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person$ `$ h/ W# ]# `: _! \; |
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset7 c# D! Z- l" H. I8 g. H: k9 b
• Good English writing and oral communication skills

• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook+ `, g' L2 a) E
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately ; z' G8 k/ P9 T7 Q$ |
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:" b$ Q5 R$ X; i) b
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ' n( F1 ?9 ?/ w! D
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
+ V y# f2 v6 V2 r* c• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
* u; k1 [) v& v5 r• Ability to work well under minimal supervision9 J! w3 t" E3 S2 B
