Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 3 M+ o. • Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person! G d* E& L! Z- ^$ x8 V; |
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST: l0 e1 b0 U: @' a
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
) `& G. z! l4 X* t5 c& a• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter) ~4 c) ^* F3 y) I
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents$ C6 [0 O/ V! I/ m# S
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker, ^& s) z2 s4 ~6 K9 ^7 i
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
& ^- \4 A- K0 }6 {1 A, O: w• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

$ S+ G/ x4 _7 q• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
5 l& p2 l+ s" J I/ G- U# P" M• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset! a& p6 n7 F* _( Q
• Good English writing and oral communication skills+ `. h4 }" e" k+ d& v
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
+ X8 M& q# x: ]4 f• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook0 @- Z6 A9 z; n3 j
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
6 \9 Q) U8 B$ P4 t* `• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
