, B$ b+ V* T' |Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person7 L D# y/ x: o
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
& {2 L0 q1 c% K/ `* t• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately6 w2 L4 i* X* U0 o ]" d [/ f
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter: b% P" g- f6 d
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents) X; s0 n3 {9 e+ U n$ v' [
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker4 i! l& W o/ G' ^3 O0 ]0 m
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
4 s2 q% \8 k3 V' Y• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events9 V9 }6 m! e1 Q
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean, T/ h" {8 n8 o1 `* u( E4 Z
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters3 K# _0 H7 @+ F0 _: A
• Maintain front counter service files n/ p# Y ~- g7 d* c: p4 n2 b
• Perform general office duties as assigned

- I7 H0 Q. }% X4 z) DKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
$ A; G4 V" u7 i8 s( k& F9 X• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
5 l# U6 y+ ^0 a% e; M• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset! E: ~# E$ u( B4 }0 `. k0 p
• Good English writing and oral communication skills7 a* D! E9 U* O% w
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients: O* _9 e( V* e- w
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Knowledge of immigrant services( w. U/ U! q0 i, i, R5 j

- K4 A: q( ~' L. _* k `3 @) z/ J6 }• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
" I ^$ @$ \, `. _8 G• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment: F4 J2 J, Q9 N. b3 h$ t. _
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism. M4 Z( w3 q9 y" C5 o M
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision" z- U" q# x' D9 o
