megapixels, the D800 produces unprecedented image quality and resolution

matrix metering III, wide dynamic range and the improved AF performance
4 ~) _( U" d- w: z ^in low light are just a few features that are glaring improvements. The D800
# d- \8 ^, @0 m7 r6 Gallows me to concentrate on the light, the composition and my subject

widely accepted that image quality was compromised in lieu of speed and

9 h% w* {: @$ e9 I. Peasier to read. The camera body feels solid and ergonomically simple, while

cameras always inspire me to test and explore, and all the useful features. d/ o- M- ]4 z
in such a compact package will open huge creative possibilities for my highquality

not megapixels or technique but the image, and while camera models
) J. W* y+ Z( H1 Q' _4 ^are important, they are not the be-all or end-all. But after a lifetime using
+ p1 D4 o+ q0 ?* k; U) U% Xcountless cameras, I have found a new best friend. It was not love at first; ?7 s! y) ?: Z7 _ Q
sight. The sharpness and detail were initially intimidating, exposing my flaws$ u& T' x5 w% P3 N6 K

As a modern architectural photographer I am always looking for a lightweight,
9 `4 @1 N, m I$ s' T5 W& y6 o0 Lcompact and reliable camera system fulfilling the requirements of my personal% m+ y0 t) b9 O0 F

perfectly match with the newly invented system and produce breathtakingly
