Learn to point-and-shoot memories like the pros with today's Groupon: for $39, you get a six-hour photography workshop from Betterphoto Photoworkshop (a $240.45 value, including tax). Professional photographer and all-around creative dynamo Chris Keating shares his expert technical knowledge and infectious zeal for the visual art form with aspiring shooters in all-day workshops. Each six-hour romp through the universe of photo making gives participants a crash course in proper shooting, instilling the ABCs and ROYGBIVs of general photography. Eye-opening tutorials include navigating capture lags, calibrating exposure settings, and understanding the elements of composition, which can lead to handsomer family snapshots in which everyone blinks simultaneously.

In addition to shooting techniques, the secret wisdom of the pros is revealed vis-à-vis effective processes for digital photography and responsible care of photo equipment. With a conscientious interest in fielding questions and an animated-but-casual teaching style, Chris believes he can help anyone be a better everyday paparazzo no matter what kind of camera they walk in with.
