& e# |! P& t. R( B7 E& T$ uUse a small shovel to dig them, make sure that you go deep enough to not hurt the roots. Then put the plants in a cool and shady place, can cover the roots with some soil, or just put the plants into water. 3 u; n2 L4 e8 Q/ v# O2 z# v) }
But you want to know first if your garden needs compost before you put yourself into so much trouble. If the soil’s always been very well maintained, and the yield results are always satisfying, you may just do it next year or later. If you do want to improve it this year and do not want to go through all these troubles, this is a trick: just top dress the compost on soil, and water in. In doing so you will not get the most ideal result, but the nutrients can still go down into the soil and it’s gonna benefit your plants. |
