Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011) z( t. h/ B; J8 h

Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
. e9 L9 n& I+ _Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities! o8 e- J! b$ {* F7 F% G( `! k# B6 q
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
! O6 Y2 M  q0 W, S8 F+ O" Y•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.  V: Z8 G$ Z% F- |
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems. A2 z' w! X; u* q/ e$ r
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
7 C& ?) Q* y) X3 J•        Assist where needed in application questions.* n! V9 X% K' A" b: `
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
9 Q4 @! p# u" c2 Wo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures  n% K) U% \0 V4 \
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
5 W# V. t1 @$ A. k/ J9 g2 S•        Track and report all warranty failures, `+ P$ m6 w  e/ _1 @& b/ t
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.  W% R2 }, n, |3 |7 X0 T" V1 L
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.- Y" i" h) m* Z& |" K
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
2 Z3 a1 K- J: i8 v; O1 e/ Q6 Eo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
+ K( V2 V/ ~- a  Q7 W. Lo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
+ ]. y, F# b; K6 a$ \o        Assist in writing and new product specification7 }0 J5 o1 Z1 \  P& o
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.) G3 D3 D+ H) c# R
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

( A1 j  T$ k5 w. S7 H* Q; `: M•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)        # k4 P; a2 f4 e! @
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers  n9 ?0 ^- u$ r9 L, ^2 F: S
List of Skills/Qualifications       
! @% Y+ @+ g2 y7 C8 G4 r: l2 z•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
  i1 I2 q( R3 ?: Y( E: H1 D( L•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software % N/ E  M/ c9 p$ B; W
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
5 l# O5 N1 v3 K- c, r•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.9 c# W1 ]2 U9 e: r& z
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
: }% s$ u( q, ^9 k$ `•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
