Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker) s0 X3 y% S/ X9 D: t P' v& z

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

4 y2 C; n4 m# N9 E, ] C) ~• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
/ G/ Z5 \. }+ ^" P• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
/ t* Z& d1 {/ ^. F) k# C• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately* {. v& ]& E2 i+ K* }# ]/ R
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter4 @9 [: S, k; b* H6 q5 K
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings4 i9 Y$ u7 y/ c) X% T. @8 R
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents# k& K5 n% P1 W) N/ ?* w
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
, r ^* S+ M' w5 t* g5 V• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events3 L1 |! l; @/ ]
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events! ?. i$ u c1 K& B* f
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
; T8 a# I2 w& I9 ?7 a• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters3 O$ P$ N* s) g' ]" p
• Maintain front counter service files/ O: h) M, b7 a, M
• Perform general office duties as assigned2 D& j" B1 g# @" P( O' a
• Report to ISP Program Manager

3 q2 I; n9 R+ i/ ~• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person; C0 S) J [% u2 Z0 d' q0 @
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset1 o5 z( R9 ?5 Z
• Good English writing and oral communication skills

0 c, |) k* P6 Q. j9 t- `• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Knowledge of immigrant services

& d. T0 i6 n3 h' C6 u• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience , G; a; D* p( ?, e3 S4 i
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment9 c1 h9 {5 X9 M/ ?( R
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism0 i0 N( Q5 V$ N u: Y2 u! m; ~
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
