; @+ w0 y: i% h" k) b& [Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 1 b! p/ T- A" X9 y) U

* V+ L' |* s& s* |• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
( {& {9 c1 k. H, x• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST9 y4 v3 @, I# k' d' j( M- W
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately% R+ O# X" v% I, _1 f1 P. I
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
1 q8 g3 r: R! z' v" a• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
" R4 `4 i! N4 {$ p6 [• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents0 Z& a9 R; C2 q' O4 ]& O/ w D4 H
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker+ _7 L, Q& h6 e7 G& Z6 o
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events0 n! i0 h, O+ h. ]6 ?0 c, ^
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events, Q i% w8 X' A4 n! n. z
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean' ^. i9 Y6 I9 Y! M$ ]
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters) o# F" [: T2 O( \) V
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
1 E* U6 x* a/ r% g0 G• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
/ _6 v3 K {9 I7 k" e• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset L% u9 h5 w0 o
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
|* N4 J2 x% @( N% M! u• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients/ z) Z8 M0 s8 G J% S
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
V2 L) `! b1 U4 y6 T• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately + T, y/ P: v. D8 V8 O6 a+ T
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:5 n, i& @" D- O/ F; L& W& b$ a6 C
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 2 r/ f8 N# g p' N9 T+ d
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
) B/ Y r8 Y" p. b• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism+ i* G. c7 y- ~3 j9 y
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
