Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
8 Z2 ?$ T$ K' @/ m) O5 x• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
4 s7 ^7 k' F' H1 K' c• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
: ]7 h* k1 i: B: z" L• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings$ ^0 `8 f% U" j
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents! h/ B0 @5 J+ `/ @$ G
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker1 x' t1 S0 p: H& _0 a
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events7 J6 D, C9 O9 ]; c
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

! T3 _; w: x2 W4 q1 oKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
/ @# b! Y A7 Y1 y" c- {! S• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
8 j2 B+ U9 ^; n• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients

• Knowledge of immigrant services

8 F3 p7 f8 Z8 H• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 5 S; D" i8 ^" B; L
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
1 E) I/ p' F1 ?• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
