( ]1 d' s7 ~9 r$ Y# \( ~Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. % q" W3 [% N' F5 ~8 u) L( E" ?' $ R5 p, }3 P% OKey Responsibilities:
1 k4 H. E3 ~* m• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person# ?! O: b& ]- x' V
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
4 N2 d, L& D* x% m• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
6 `0 x: |" G! |5 X9 n4 _• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
- _, t/ q% r2 [4 r) {• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings0 I- d- Z4 H9 r5 c% r9 n
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
( g8 k9 a3 m4 _+ L# Z& V9 ~' Y• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events ?; C3 |7 C* c
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean* E, W, x: }, w6 u. g
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
7 X5 `5 |* p! p1 c9 c• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
8 P3 B e. a. \) ]; C• Good English writing and oral communication skills

• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook2 p# H$ @+ e1 L& C8 I) U# f; k
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 4 h% `' ~+ u3 D: A. ^
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
' d4 _5 G s2 B3 F3 Y6 c0 u% y• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment+ G- g! d) d% N# X' ]
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism* F$ {) d% b0 @, Q$ z; i
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision, g/ z$ v% t/ k9 B" s1 K
