Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. Key Responsibilities:* U- j. t% ~2 Z: F
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
) _. y% g0 f" v0 Y3 u• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
& w) G7 ~& G( E) w• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
" g' [* E2 {& Y x; @$ `• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter5 @& F" L+ i1 M4 H+ X! w4 L) U& R
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
# U7 b k9 j u2 w• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents* c0 v6 f! r$ n. d
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker3 C5 Q* {3 O, V
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean) f9 j3 |% f% }! @ w* r
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters5 k( f* v. k9 P; n5 u' ?
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- X" p0 H; \) `2 V* M• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
' w$ z7 M8 q$ k4 X2 f7 A+ y0 k• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset9 B: v. P" w# N
• Good English writing and oral communication skills7 P( r4 V3 o1 b" J
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients; ~1 A6 ?$ g* q8 I1 P X, a' W
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook- Y& ]: z$ v5 \! [. \% J
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
6 T! N+ J% K: c• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

' U% Y; h# N7 E& a |• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
+ @- ~3 X8 S i# P• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment3 Z% G: w2 _" p" I0 s
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism: r5 U& k; Z, G, _! E
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
