Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. Key Responsibilities:
( i1 X9 w9 G! p; Q7 y9 S• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
& Y4 }9 x/ r% O: P• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST+ C' Y$ m( P: b2 ^5 ~
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately" m* j8 H' D! w1 P
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter( u( Z9 U! V+ k% F, V+ k* J# c9 N
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
+ m* f2 G. H3 p' ~8 v& f• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents2 N# C, n) _8 E/ M3 }7 _
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
9 N! y9 f3 W0 @4 [: `* ?) |• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events! c5 W% z5 q/ m
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

2 c3 i/ P! Z M6 y• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters3 n: ~+ b/ {% \3 N0 t, W

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:) A& ]; I0 C, C' H
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
' F( c$ Z8 L, A9 w9 m' S• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset7 |8 a; a. A! O8 ]! h6 D2 D
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
3 ^/ p/ G/ P# I7 a8 h• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients6 Y/ U, B7 a8 m2 `
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook ^0 M" ~. m4 Z5 ?2 ~
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately / F3 M, f1 L1 s6 z) H
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds4 o/ q$ \ B& g4 z
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:
1 y; r* m/ @4 D% x" F• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 9 [6 @' h7 s o
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
) i' R# j2 p/ B# r* e• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
+ y6 }6 S" o7 |2 N• Ability to work well under minimal supervision- @% Z% T+ M5 F( m* S# j8 b
