0 y8 T7 `) ~& s& o, d0 lAdvocate Non-Violence. YOUCAN has served youth in the Edmonton area for the past
nine years and our mission is to equip youth to engage and inspire others to
! T( {  h" I6 y' P" `& Epeacefully resolve conflicts and develop healthy relationships in their communities.
The YOUCAN VERTO Project is a Government of Canada and Government of Albertafunded

! @% K& U  D5 u2 T* v8 cproject that will bring at-risk youth together into a unique 15 -week groupbased
" R& ~/ b; q& ?8 k) O1 }; wemployability skills program entitled “The VERTO Project”.
: K+ o% }" j/ Z5 K/ o) @! G' ^The goal of the VERTO Program is to assist participants in obtaining and maintaining
the skills necessary to bring success into their lives. Verto program will expose
2 E# [  [" [/ S- G3 b; ~, Nparticipants to a wide range of components focusing on: employment development,
personal wellness, technology learning, conflict resolution, and exposure courses.
0 A0 Q) A8 o" I6 NAdditionally, we will incorporate topics around health and wellness, volunteerism,
and leadership courses. Verto youth will be provided with a six-month employment
follow-up once the program is completed.

" Q- c, I  A5 t! d4 L7 GVerto project will run from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the
YOUCAN office, located at 11124-130 St. (Westmount Jr. High School) in Edmonton, Alberta.
