peacefully resolve conflicts and develop healthy relationships in their communities.6 m5 G3 |, b. Q% U% E+ s
The YOUCAN VERTO Project is a Government of Canada and Government of Albertafunded
2 o: p. m7 {' d# t% y+ Y: W. C9 p: i& N2 g
project that will bring at-risk youth together into a unique 15 -week groupbased+ s4 X2 ^% }: R( B3 o$ i r% ]
employability skills program entitled “The VERTO Project”.7 _1 m# Q6 X* S- K' D1 F- `
The goal of the VERTO Program is to assist participants in obtaining and maintaining. k9 a! z3 U! P" @
the skills necessary to bring success into their lives. Verto program will expose
/ [2 T0 g- j5 F6 H8 g* r. }participants to a wide range of components focusing on: employment development,
- Y/ ^1 m' R% U" l$ |* Zpersonal wellness, technology learning, conflict resolution, and exposure courses.
% ~* l4 K! Y: B" sAdditionally, we will incorporate topics around health and wellness, volunteerism,
, i' {# K. d3 U' Rand leadership courses. Verto youth will be provided with a six-month employment( m; k( ~2 |' d5 S* t
follow-up once the program is completed.
