Over last decade, I have used many window upgrade companies. Here are some of my suggestions:
$ r1 _$ n: E) Z5 o8 t- You really need triple-pane windows ,not only for the sound proof, but for the Edmonton winter. The price is not much differnt from double-pane but the performance almost doubled;
! r% a7 i) ^0 R0 T5 y- I have tried many brands of windows, Hometech, Economic Windows, All-Weather windows, Jeldwen (by Home Depot). The best would be Hometech. All-weather is also good but the price is too high lately. I just had one big bay-window by Economic Windows in this April. Looks great but don't know how good for the real winter.% @& J* L* S2 p' U
- Stay away from craps like Durabuilt or Sunrise Windows. Cheap stuff.; N9 l' O3 h/ g2 z7 `' }1 T" m
