Over last decade, I have used many window upgrade companies. Here are some of my suggestions:( Y7 p/ b& j3 J% a* s
- You really need triple-pane windows ,not only for the sound proof, but for the Edmonton winter. The price is not much differnt from double-pane but the performance almost doubled;8 I* |' x+ a; C# J0 c* s1 k0 ?* v
- I have tried many brands of windows, Hometech, Economic Windows, All-Weather windows, Jeldwen (by Home Depot). The best would be Hometech. All-weather is also good but the price is too high lately. I just had one big bay-window by Economic Windows in this April. Looks great but don't know how good for the real winter.) F k# V( b- X/ |( [3 D1 \' e
- Stay away from craps like Durabuilt or Sunrise Windows. Cheap stuff.; @' x! l, c) d- w# J) h! y0 N
