Over last decade, I have used many window upgrade companies. Here are some of my suggestions:
5 W: ~1 s2 L) N  I3 v: E! y- You really need triple-pane windows ,not only for the sound proof, but for the Edmonton winter. The price is not much differnt from double-pane but the performance almost doubled;
; J" D. h4 z) l* k- I have tried many brands of windows, Hometech, Economic Windows, All-Weather windows, Jeldwen (by Home Depot). The best would be Hometech. All-weather is also good but the price is too high lately. I just had one big bay-window by Economic Windows in this April. Looks great but don't know how good for the real winter.
$ c& A) z3 j- ~9 M; L- Stay away from craps like Durabuilt or Sunrise Windows. Cheap stuff.
