7 ~9 y, |$ x* Y4 C. L8 X! WSEDI is hiring an in-house financial literacy trainer/coordinator who will help build financial literacy programs across Canada.
! f# [4 {) c7 V7 X) G9 cSEDI is staffed to: 0 e6 l; j: F# t& l/ ]6 G
• conduct socio-economic market and policy research 1 z! F" _4 R3 O. q4 T5 C
• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners 8 K: q1 W4 g3 [# j% W7 o
• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation
/ R6 L/ ~ X/ Z. ^% a$ C• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs 6 k9 }) b$ E( G( n+ b. \8 Q
• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits - D" }/ C; V# ~& A* V' |7 H' I0 e% _
• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses

• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada ! g k9 n! M6 F- X3 y
• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc)
' s8 C: K5 d6 x/ Y( T• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required
4 ]; s; {% w& B/ M* q• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities
( O6 v+ h, } `8 |8 p5 E8 Q• Working with evaluation and management information systems team
. }8 b8 L+ k) ?# z: }1 {( Y/ D• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required

6 y) b1 [) p: n/ Q1 i) ~• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies 9 ]; N; b$ H- d" k5 ?0 A/ ?
• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners
; G0 e! I. X, K1 C( v! c& u( c• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting & @, ]$ b4 T! @
• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports
5 Z! v4 s2 v9 [ O# c• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning * y" X# O& W+ `* S. \2 n
Primary Qualifications:
5 ~9 M- J5 b1 Y- A" |( U# B• Demonstrated group facilitation experience
! Z7 \) d' z0 d) Q2 i0 i• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media 4 Z s, y; ~: J
• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training + d. K( i5 `) i: X" M& T
• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities 6 u- k+ u$ E9 P1 O. k: c" |
• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams

• Demonstrated understanding of basic financial literacy concepts
* } G$ ^5 ]9 M9 O1 |* ~9 e/ X2 e• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them ' B1 x& W& A! I( y: _
• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc : ^6 W6 Q1 Z1 M! H1 g
• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education ! Z; Q# y- X+ L. X9 g
• Content / curriculum development experience 2 M8 c9 b9 N' t- x
• Team player, able to deal effectively with multi-sectoral partners
# c2 e* b. Y* P4 N1 k• Excellent organizational skills
# V4 D; t x/ F4 l1 L$ w• Computer skills: Word, ACCESS, Power Point etc.
) l% G) N' g9 g% [( j& _9 [• Ability in French (both written and oral) is an asset
. u5 V& j8 Q7 e5 g• Policy research skill set is an asset
