1 H$ r* ^6 Y# t0 sJob Description
- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
0 e# u/ H0 k( d4 d-  develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
- provide support to ISP staff
( U4 j# ~; C& S5 k4 {$ j- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
6 X6 F& I. M7 m; k$ @" t$ U5 y- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
4 Y+ j$ z8 {, d- ~- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
- j# I4 o% P5 W- other duties as assigned

. ?' U" A8 Y6 ?6 g$ B8 ^6 N/ C; NQualifications
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
& z0 u$ J" ~5 V# _- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
+ U, x, _: h; e- P8 Q6 b+ U$ W/ t- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
- good interpersonal and people skills
# X3 ~5 A4 Z0 c' Q- good organizational and coordination skills
- valid driver’s license

Other
- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary
- $12/hr for 17.5hours/week, April 18 to March 31, 2007
