- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information2 F$ X6 x" Z3 n+ q
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc. I5 [5 n+ v4 Q. D) \
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP: \9 m1 P1 j+ P- J9 a* T
- provide support to ISP staff
& O: A- P; G/ d- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members: e. |' ]9 o) [6 O( S b% z
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
3 k9 e0 V0 X1 N p. f" ~* J7 h- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
8 j# e* s7 q0 J) J) {- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants( U5 Z U1 s7 I% t; t4 H. ~$ @0 @9 C
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
% Z3 o% ~- P* G9 l' p- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder# e1 Y4 a2 q: ?: U ]& D) q- H9 k
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
( |7 O m, z6 ^' }$ j- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities$ t% I, k( h' l( i
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

Qualifications, X$ t1 V& l- g
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
, q$ r$ ^) J& |0 Q% @- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
6 X+ D/ a9 P3 M5 }4 t* k! _- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
{5 o2 ?- |* P" G: M- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
0 s8 [; j: d/ a- ~# A3 }- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred). o( B+ |, `! |: @: g
- good interpersonal and people skills& {! u1 ^: Y8 o6 Z
- good organizational and coordination skills
