We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

+ m; @. b/ N- x1 X7 r) I# l- Gathering and documenting requirements;

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;
! L( w+ ~% J0 |: R
- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

& S2 j. V7 ^5 R, {& b7 Y0 I- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

, x6 z; z* T5 X& \+ |: w" |$ \- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

- T4 V2 b/ v* a- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

+ `% X' o" J3 c* K- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;
