Help: Buying a car with title "leased vehicle"

/ l7 [- K# K9 s% e9 w3 K9 e  I am going to buy a car, but when I am going to pay today. I notice that the title on the registration is " leased vehicle". Then I asked the seller and he told me he has paid off the lease, but he has not updated the info with the registry. I have not paid him yet. So I just wonder if
& M6 u# |- F. G2 k2 s; S8 W2 Qhe needs to update the title with the registry first before I buy it?

he just needs to provide me the document showing he has paid off the lease (from the dealer or the bank). Then I go to register the new car with all those information.
