7 L% _8 f8 A  dDevelops and updates the graphic user interface including program interface (menus, dialogue boxes, file editing, etc.) using C++ or Java or other languages to allow users to compose run scripts and edit input files for a FORTRAN model
Generates dynamic visualization of numerical output from the model using VTK or other visualization tools, linked to explanatory documents
- Y$ B  j; x6 m4 V- QWorks with staff in the MACI to determine ways to deal with the data and find innovative approaches of presenting results
, O# t+ J. q1 q2 Y1 p6 zImplements interface and visualization on portable media (CD and website) for use in research and teaching; implements the mathematical model "ecosy" in parallel mode on computing facilities available
' _+ \- Q$ M; I1 \! }. hProvides technical support to teaching initiatives at undergraduate and postgraduate levels using the mathematical model with the graphic user interface
$ ~/ K1 H3 P) |: ]Installs software and provides user support; liaises with users to enable their productive use of the software

- l4 m9 N7 e! u8 @B.Sc. in Computing Science with specialization in interface development
- P% {, b! b% }8 `+ YRelated experience with interface development; interest in terrestrial ecology and global climate change an asset
/ y$ i" E4 k: G) W& V  lProgramming in C++ and Unix, website development and maintenance
