abusing two young boys in the 1970s and 1980s when he was a sheriff's deputy

to lure teenage boys for sexual relationships. West called the molestation
  R6 j: }; b7 C: \! K+ b6 T% P/ [allegations "flat lies". However he admitted to having private online
# c% J4 @; W0 ^) u) Rrelationships in the past year through the Gay.com website (see ([3]).

0 E. h; \3 B- w" \the charges that he had sought out minors (see[4]). Using the name "Right-
BiGuy" he allegedly offered internships to young gay men (some of whom were
just graduating from high school - none of whom, however, under the age of
" w) h8 r& i8 w' B+ P' X18.

Ted Arthur Haggard (born June 27, 1956) is a former American evangelical
preacher. Known as Pastor Ted to the congregations he served, he is the
: i8 R8 h7 G7 N) v! z% j$ ofounder and former pastor of the New Life Church in Colorado Springs,
Colorado; a founder of the Association of Life-Giving Churches; and was
0 i$ g* Z  I/ R* tleader of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) from 2003[1] until
: ]4 w6 w3 [8 M9 C7 u; u% q4 eNovember 2006.

In November 2006, he resigned or was removed from all of his leadership
8 x# S5 A9 R# f- a" Jpositions after he admitted soliciting prostitute Mike Jones for homosexual
( \* N. _# l% }sex and methamphetamine. Initially Haggard denied even knowing Mike Jones,
but as a media investigation proceeded he acknowledged that some allegations
, such as his purchase of methamphetamine, were true. He later added "sexual
immorality" to his list of confessions.[2]

After the scandal was publicized, Haggard entered three weeks of intensive
6 m0 h3 w. Q5 l3 p7 Acounseling, overseen by four ministers. In February 2007, one of those
/ E# [& I: j% b6 j( K, zministers, Tim Ralph, said that Haggard "is completely heterosexual."[3]
Ralph later said he meant that therapy "gave Ted the tools to help to
embrace his heterosexual side."[4] As of early 2009, Haggard continues to
receive counseling, and now he says that he is a “heterosexual with issues.

On January 23, 2009, officials from Haggard's former church announced that a
; ?9 E8 b7 E! Z" L7 }young male church member had come forward in 2006 and that there was an "
overwhelming pool of evidence [of an] inappropriate, consensual sexual
relationship [that] went on for a long period of time [with Haggard] ... it
wasn't a one-time act."[76] Haggard's successor, Brady Boyd, said the church
reached a six figure settlement with the man, who was in his early 20s at
the time.[78] According to the man, he said the contact was "not consensual"
and this is not about "opening new wounds" it's about a much larger issue.[
