1 H( \) E1 _: n! qResponsibilities
 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
1 Q7 I" i2 s# W% K1 s+ o2 V Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
2 e+ W, \5 b4 R! \7 ^ Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
" C3 J! c2 f/ ]- O1 \ Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
, \% u( z+ W) }4 e Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
" t1 x4 b. r7 [4 a2 b2 w6 a Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
