 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
8 c) I' Z$ ]1 Q/ d6 e Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
% e! V0 g: s! |/ h6 M" \ Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
: {3 z' m8 L1 `5 |5 T0 ^ Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
; {: V# M% P0 [' }- x Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
  H7 ], y1 Z- H, c6 P Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
* F' D* u: \# ] Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
+ F+ l8 o) H2 G! i+ O' O5 X4 r, P Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
3 S2 t1 B; A1 G/ a1 ~1 e5 C Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
2 O# C% r& S- x* D Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
% G. l* P# M0 Z6 R% ^9 O. L( Y: i6 \ Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
