& n/ q$ u. E$ J4 W) \6 T1 X% W9 u' l Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
# A, N+ o0 E* ~6 ^8 G$ K Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
7 {6 X1 R* J" l Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
' U7 h$ x- T& n1 D8 p/ N5 t4 q9 e Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

 Social work degree or diploma
9 \3 V7 V5 v% U Current RSW designation preferred   
2 G+ |" j7 Y9 N1 X# l Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
1 t5 t8 v1 l! E Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
$ [7 k7 [0 Q) c# v- D$ z% B1 P Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
+ N) e. b, A5 N8 i! n Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  I6 I& |  p# H) M, `# P9 l Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
8 @3 v7 _; }1 A# b. ^* l4 E Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
