0 n1 t. ]1 j5 W Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
% D% v/ j# u) w" |. l0 T8 H5 a- N Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
/ H, y+ n/ \$ y, _" I0 { Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
. U0 J% Y% V- |# K) A Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
* a" d* g& A# V Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
9 O; F& S, P" b6 \0 s Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
& Z" Q4 P! Z6 c4 `; Z) E/ ?: D Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
