Responsibilities
7 Y( g+ e& @% {, G  C6 K+ S Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
5 Z# x4 d- a) [5 `8 C# F Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
$ ]$ F/ U: ]4 m Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
# @' H0 H; f1 Q/ K Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
, E; W+ ^& A/ f, [( B& D0 B Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
* X2 |# V) ]. [9 a% C8 v/ \; z Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
9 D  H* h% _) s6 L Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
7 n" ?  M8 t9 ^# V  `- j Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- _7 ^% n, y: e- n7 X- A5 I: S5 @ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
0 R4 T& ^) C: J4 ~$ i6 _3 P Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
