 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
/ P" M1 \; x. J# Z0 W Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
( o2 g4 ]0 T( v& J5 U: Z Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
* m9 R; ?. K- q. S' X Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
) D+ p/ a" K( m Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

8 U3 W4 T5 w# p" t Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
! k+ M3 v; O, `: H4 k Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
% ~7 m) ~; s: Y% v Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
