Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
" E: b. x) k9 kObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
Ensures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
, g" \3 v, v0 mPrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
# V: m, z2 l1 c4 y7 rOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions
1 o6 M9 n1 R- J2 T0 t5 l; kPerforms related duties as required
Qualifications
( H1 j7 k: u& iValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.
* n+ ~& A# E5 b, QHigh School diploma; previous driving experience required
Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification

7 b6 t9 Z1 ?5 M- D; wAbility to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar
