Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)0 {0 C" M# X! c( q
Provides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required! @6 ^2 {. w, K- ^- Z7 t! g
Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed& t Z+ Y6 \, y
Performs related tasks as needed) C# }' S% t" f/ v) R0 M3 ?. u
Qualifications
1 T6 p+ F. _' U7 LDiploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred: M; W$ Z% u; Q
Demonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
" k* R0 E+ J) P* P8 WSolid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset& J- L( x! n3 v8 M! p8 {
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred a' a4 p+ j6 Q8 H# G+ W. t
Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit6 J, e, d+ l5 N
Relevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages3 z( U K# O; Z2 M
