Duties
" O/ e' T( H" h# |4 a" LAssists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
: ^ U3 p9 a; W- n {" s& PProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
0 R9 X4 d6 M) FPerforms other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed
: N6 R8 n8 y9 I" p! k9 FPerforms related tasks as needed" {6 q% x$ Z5 e3 H
Qualifications
4 c, u( r. J. q) SDiploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred7 f* V$ j, c8 x, S/ _! s) t0 ]
Demonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
2 o& \; s' X( t+ vSolid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
, T9 k6 `: x/ ]! q; s+ x3 W) ?Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
& R) f1 l' ^4 h2 g. Z( Y# C& iFamiliarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
