 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
8 X0 ^5 K# p3 Q  S Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
, i6 A( `' @" R( F Completing required paperwork.
. j' J- f8 ^" y6 F9 W, ]2 | Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
. Z2 B: F) L4 j1 a" s9 _' p) X; r Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
  r) N$ f1 S  B- S: |1 D/ N Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
; d! t' X, Y+ ]6 |2 b1 W5 K Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


& i0 E3 G1 o2 O/ H3 ]6 HQualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
7 X* A, S8 p- n# }0 g) \" M, r Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
3 m: p! d( `4 }  T0 a" i' c  f4 z Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
$ o* b. ^0 j, A; E& e, T# p4 e Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
' d& q3 E4 |' d! X: Z9 ~/ j+ N Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.
' |% f( j; Q4 t7 E8 Y
Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
