% H* Z& _5 D0 @7 n' M/ UKey Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
' S6 Y2 z2 d7 j- I( z6 C5 B Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
0 ?- n, ~0 ^3 V Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
) @" h$ {5 d4 w+ T4 ^ Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
, B: s/ k" y; _ Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
7 |3 f, s8 Y+ F6 r  m# [! N. D Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

- r  Q7 k1 k1 f Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
; Q1 s2 f4 J1 j, A9 G+ l: n Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
: z7 \, X. e. t; l& e: }5 b Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
- w. Q7 ]8 y" Z1 ^ Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
; f4 G! ]1 _* A- ?0 ?) e Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

: L6 I* Q; q( X* ?0 U$ X3 JThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
