2 P4 g/ O9 p1 D' m. j5 C+ R- H Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
: J1 `- Y" w2 W4 M. x! Y! J Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
! o+ `2 X& Y7 n6 r Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
0 |+ c3 S; M% r  C  C1 l! z Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
9 A. }8 p. T! i/ H Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
  g% ~9 H* `/ d; Y- I, N/ ^ Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
7 J7 V1 o4 ]: y% y1 M# R( Z, J
" m3 C% A* ]* L( o! ~: B Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
2 X! e, X, j9 M7 W0 e Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
" m: o. x) @( N! k Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
( t1 M6 z* e* p- t" M Knowledge of community resources.
5 x8 p2 T0 W, O8 y. `' R Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
/ m% U8 C; V# V& S  I Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

  ~0 G; ~' Q; A( SPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
