: j/ T. ]  A" {. r  }+ N$ h% o Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
5 k. @* @$ g: ]/ F& E Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
3 Q0 ^, ?& A! @  A; } Completing required paperwork.
+ l4 j- m  g7 d Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
- {5 s0 @8 `# S5 W Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
, H1 }& q/ I9 J5 _ Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
2 r4 ~% }9 o5 m, M
- w  ~( j' r) r Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
+ q/ [: p& ^0 N Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

9 \2 L. l% N0 ?2 Z$ A5 }Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
