" T" D, i% E. SKey Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
$ x1 f+ J7 N' r1 p; t& T+ K Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
& U* c7 \5 k- O Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
# E6 r4 l. O6 y+ g9 B% ^2 K8 O Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
- `' p( W: z6 @8 ^6 H3 a Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
+ `/ T0 W9 t4 W Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
& a' g" Y: s6 `; c Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
, U! u+ Y4 P6 ]  v0 ]
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
  d+ A1 g! n) Z Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
+ |6 j; A9 F  l$ j* C; ^ Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
" F; `8 H# U2 w* ]0 y7 `/ Q, V Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
7 [* Q8 ?% r( w9 L5 P Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
) v7 m: J0 J1 H- y Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

' n+ G0 _6 x+ T- HPosition:
1 B. e+ n4 P0 {  R* ~This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
