An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
+ t, b/ y6 ?& V9 M2 @. z• Process research equipment design;% M* ^; a! y, k% X5 Y8 D: r; }
• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
( y; O8 ~- v) m) }• Equipment fabrication guidance;
4 }1 O5 v5 v! c9 r6 A* K• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;9 t7 k' r' y8 o9 ~. l
• Others.8 G# a$ z# ~$ A4 A

Qualifications:$ E4 w( ^5 M" f* c4 w" s9 H3 a T1 a
• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months. w3 V- z3 ]9 L
• Equipment design experience is required;
$ C; V7 b8 f9 k0 D3 J• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
5 T7 C4 n% t: N/ e• Familiar with CAD software;5 {" L& Y' D4 ^, f) C
• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
0 q3 q. o0 T3 [• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.9 i4 B3 d& z/ b

Compensation:
# c: t3 c2 D% I# S( R7 {% jSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term. 8 v$ C3 M2 @* C$ P2 X, c
