Major Responsibilities:& \" U1 e+ J& a& R
• Process research equipment design;
# z8 }3 J9 u: L( P# H s ]6 l8 W• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;2 p8 f6 O) e/ o( w! M; P$ q5 {
• Equipment fabrication guidance;
* U! n1 t7 w# a7 f7 c- Z% T2 |• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;$ T! G+ |4 {: G3 I0 g1 N! U" l
• Others.

• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months. : C! P6 C9 |8 v% v3 O N1 q
• Equipment design experience is required;9 `. v O0 c2 o. @/ S
• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;+ K- C9 S r! G, v' U
• Familiar with CAD software;+ t! ~- J* `! W: ]; r6 m6 T4 L
• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;2 u0 k- q8 ]0 T' C- y
• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.3 N- _ e9 W! v; O7 g# n" Y! o1 q6 {

Compensation:
! |- q/ i3 T- I: p2 s/ \Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
