An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
% L; ^! p' {: l/ k•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
3 B5 S* [2 f. j5 `0 y' R  n•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
+ H2 L# t: T' ?•        Others.

Qualifications:
0 w$ l* I* b6 _•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
9 Z3 o  t7 |) R' x) m•        Equipment design experience is required;
•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
4 ?+ @! t7 T; j% w•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
7 q: ^# j0 [; s/ S: K# }' V9 V•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
