 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
4 S4 t- ^; d/ M. ^ Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
! A* I: _3 k9 }4 O$ Z Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
. a. l7 {5 |) r- y Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
- X1 A0 r8 ?0 M Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

$ v. |$ `3 M2 @ Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
) \, q: v" u1 B8 C- f! f: q% a Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
. \, q1 s$ w8 P8 F- f) [ Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
: q6 O3 L& S) ~0 B# n, K8 k Knowledge of community resources.
# T/ U4 a$ p# l  R6 t/ [/ A' H Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
6 V1 L- S+ t0 C8 l5 c1 \; X Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

+ d3 ^; E& h% LThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
