" v4 Z" h( e$ U  e: D Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
6 R$ b) `8 b* P Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
- Z  O- }% @9 Y+ j9 t3 u Completing required paperwork.
: J0 R% \5 P$ n7 w; }2 X, D Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
: c3 c2 w. F/ l- R1 \/ D Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
9 J/ q+ m5 s: v% ^) [3 h/ m Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

) r( o* j8 _9 B" _, W
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
7 `. @8 H5 L9 t1 A- E Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
- O0 F8 G  }- F* Y( U% @6 A5 ? Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
% y) _! r7 M0 X3 NThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
