' e( N# G) |+ p4 m. }Key Responsibilities & Duties:

; E4 p  d6 E9 Q  i) w+ i Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
' Z  x/ I4 a6 K% w Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
9 U+ _! ^- r" @/ `/ p) X7 \9 | Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
, Z! U9 u5 ~2 G& j Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
% _9 J4 L/ `" w Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
9 l+ t* K4 \& f/ H2 l8 F Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
( c! n0 c) R/ G2 @3 n* d Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
- f$ `3 |3 D' F7 ? Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
( }" Z  P# h/ U; E; @1 x Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
