 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
2 F1 m( B+ Z5 A& E- x Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
( _; s: R3 i* B+ l' [7 ]1 q Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
/ w: k3 z4 o0 F Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
$ L$ J4 p. O6 `" l: L* E Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
' V$ E' m3 A6 L* J4 [) [ Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
2 q( T  ]- n5 f/ V" a" \9 h- [ Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

) }& e; f: @) O. R7 }- A Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
8 O1 u: I1 R' k( f  { Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
, R! ^. [2 S) \  [- m/ Q/ z  @: O Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
; _9 k) U, I% `; A, x Knowledge of community resources.
; n, t8 w9 G& L2 F% P2 t Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
4 L6 i6 U+ |2 ?- @0 f0 |! e% X" V Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

! m, L7 g# i* M: f5 gPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
