Department Information  
Gas Development is comprised of natural gas business development, Enbridge investments in existing gas infrastructure and investments in long-term gas development initiatives.  The Group currently manages investments totaling $1 billion, with earnings of approximately $100 million.   This new Senior Business Advisor position will report directly to the Director Finance & Control, Gas Development.  The position will work closely with Business Development Management to ensure financial planning models for existing businesses reflect the most current commercial & economic outlooks.  This position will also develop initial financial models, and analyze risks and opportunities, related to potential new businesses identified by Gas Development.

# m8 W% _+ L+ _( T Maintain and analyze financial models of existing Gas Development investments to ensure financial performance meets corporate expectations; where appropriate, identify opportunities to optimize commercial values;

Work closely with Gas Development Management to ensure financial models reflect current commercial contracts and economic / financial outlooks;

Ongoing risk assessment and determine impacts for financial planning;

. F+ b9 E' j, vLiaise with senior financial representatives from partners/JVs to ensure an understanding of key financial/commercial issues and the impact to financial results and forecasts;

4 ?  S( Y7 U% R: LWorking closely with Gas Development Management, will develop initial financial models and evaluations of natural gas infrastructure opportunities valued in the range of $100 million to $1 billion+;

9 P! j1 N) J% P4 u+ v* kWork closely with Senior Advisors/Managers of Corporate Development & Investment Review to ensure consistency of financial evaluation techniques for new opportunities and ensure clear and timely communication of project risks and opportunities;
3 s+ \9 C- B6 U" z2 g9 a, k2 CManage the input of various Corporate Departments in assessing new and existing capital investments;

+ T% _  E. B7 j) U' ~' @Provide financial support for investment proposals to Senior Gas Division & Enbridge Management;

E$ n9 W5 J" v: j# pSpecific responsibilities include: preparation and review of financial models; managing the financial assessment of commercial structures and operating environments, provide advice on key financial assumptions; and assess opportunities & risks of current / proposed investments; determination of asset values/bid prices; use of appropriate valuation methodologies; and due diligence reviews.

5 F9 F: j+ c6 S0 ?4 n0 ]Assist Director in developing and analyzing financial results and forecasts (annual budgets, forecasts, and long range plan).  
Qualifications  
' ]* i6 ~$ v3 R Business/Finance Degree coupled with an MBA, CFA or accounting designation.

10-15 years financial experience at progressively senior analyst/advisor levels within the energy industry;
) G) H. M6 [$ i4 u: \
* C& p! V+ D5 Y3 z5 r  z8 gGas industry experience preferred;

Extensive experience in financial analysis, accounting, financial planning or strategic planning;
' M+ E$ x" I2 O
Experience in business evaluations and due diligence with respect to large scale energy projects;
; n8 T' K7 |1 Q/ Z1 \' `$ Y! H
Strong business acumen, collaboration and interpersonal skills;

A high degree of personal initiative;
