MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
: k, K/ _" k7 B/ T        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
" r, b3 e& b; f- Z% g        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients
) x5 C, Z* B( q" F
& z7 N9 z  e( L5 l1 }QUALIFICATIONS:
) V# ~2 ?: e; f  r$ R•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
$ ?2 a- Z8 [& C6 ^+ `•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process

: {5 U( u# z+ B' z•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
