The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
$ b* N; j) [8 i§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution 9 ^0 J2 _, {: M, d
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation7 J0 |- j: _6 S! K
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times' a/ t* b s6 H* E6 y8 R
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk, R5 ^4 x2 t( D O0 X' F
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert+ o+ O1 {" H3 @0 G
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties1 r; {2 B% u& s- `% U2 [
§ Special projects as required

§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

Responsibilities:

§ Manage and coach staff in IT group

§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives

§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
1 o! N, c* p" L1 p( s§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to/ Y8 e0 e/ D+ G+ s# v1 S
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
3 J# X( S' V4 T j3 A§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access3 z N2 f& |) f
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
8 Y" C# }( j& z& |, J" d§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan2 f/ ]+ Z' I/ R3 |, V
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk; O, u2 o9 r- {' B$ X

§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management
