The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.+ r3 {# a* ]4 l) W. X/ k

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers& n% Z: \$ O" Z& B# Y
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution - X7 F/ F7 d# v& a# u. t
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation- Z2 V4 t6 t# p$ k; _2 q3 \
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times& w! V2 M5 h9 F" j D0 k! @
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
% z; ~( {, h ~2 o6 S5 l! z1 \§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert4 L5 Z [- O6 l7 {9 @ _
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties. W4 Q# s; ^3 S1 T3 C/ O
§ Special projects as required

Qualifications:
; `- m) G2 [2 W% F! S§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience+ R; K) E1 g7 ]' l/ z5 O
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision

§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software A) g5 H5 c! c) Z2 Q o
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). " ^: s% g# @% o! ?

§ Manage a stable local IT environment

§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support

§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports- J% o$ F! ?6 _' a% x% r4 w# ~
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation7 J/ n( y# Y% U; p, }
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to

§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures

§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
