Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:7 i" B! A0 w- U/ n# X1 D& q, S& u: f
After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.

We isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.
9 O+ f" E. s/ M, J/ p% I4 VSwap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine., S/ D8 s, i1 u5 @/ N3 D. {2 d1 r
The problem should be inside the bucket.4 F0 ^$ Q8 _$ F3 ~4 l3 S" ?- ?

When the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.. ]6 d) f' z! Y
Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
4 `& A K3 g* }' {- p7 ?4 |% hConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.

1 u) J, Y! K/ r/ U7 T9 m5 u1 NThe next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.
6 Q; S2 Q" B1 o! H4 W9 HThey have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.% a. S( A! E3 c' D" G/ Q! Q( L ]
It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working. # ?4 I6 {- z9 H! i; u
+ Q, q% f( W" i6 S% a/ U: ~The coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them.
