Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:
- o* R8 l& u! W After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.

We isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.- p7 a" X3 R4 E( w* |
Swap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.
3 p$ V( ]4 S1 Q' ?* WThe problem should be inside the bucket.

When the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.
2 A+ S% D7 f: {$ `Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
: N/ X0 Q% U, ?8 N% nConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.

; t& _- `. m0 z" L2 f/ q' c7 x- JThey have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.0 C: x7 J" @, j7 T5 X+ A
It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working. 3 e' J. A: B' P0 k* s
