CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.

. z* l- u; M6 z6 {! L5 F" p! UNo one was hurt in the incident which happened after a fire broke out around midnight at its upgrader #1, Suncor said.

The energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.

+ V# a  K. k5 S3 c- R) R( bSuncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.

去年12月suncor upgrade 52新区发生大火刚刚修复出油，这次老厂5区又着火停产，真是多灾多难。老点的员工都知道suncor的管理很乱，养懒人。相对syndcrude无论管理和效率都好的多。
