Suncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.2 ]- j* w. v( q; N0 m6 H

According to Reuters, Suncor could not specify how much crude the unit was producing before the incident.
