CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.

2 r2 n& X y' _) o; y2 g6 mNo one was hurt in the incident which happened after a fire broke out around midnight at its upgrader #1, Suncor said.

The energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.4 l* M8 g% Y; f$ g4 H6 [
( ^( ~5 z' c5 G/ T" g) ^Suncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.5 Z2 k! F7 T. a

According to Reuters, Suncor could not specify how much crude the unit was producing before the incident.
