Assists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
6 P+ ?  V# @+ G" y. v  T5 g8 h, HWorks co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
; E- z! k/ ?' o) K. J& }Maintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
- c8 ]& [) k6 A/ u5 i7 p# }) g' tMaintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
Is knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
& z, _, x4 _# r7 v" ?Participates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.
: u' i& e' R5 NQualifications
Must have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
3 h, ~) A' g' G, C7 e0 yMust be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
) Q  M) ?0 o* v2 gComputer skills an asset.
An energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.
Proficiency in a second language is an asset.
