今天学到了一个单词：sarcastic

最近教公司的一个美女普通话。
今天，我教她“美女”.
她问是什么意思
我接着说“美女means "beauty". you are 美女"
她说：“is it kind of sarcastic."
我说："what does it mean?"
她说：“someone say you are smart but it doesn't mean you are really smart."
我说：“OIC，you are 美女。i mean that."

sarcastic - 讽刺的意思。
如果你说她 blond 的话，就有点 sarcastic 了。
你的同事可能朝这方面想了。

ironic:
我在博客上帖了我们一大早赶飞机的照片，孩子们累得睁不还眼，我下面写的评注是： it's hard to tell that we were tired isn't it?
there, I was being ironic
ironic 还可以形容一个situation，比如：al gore is portrayed as a front line fighter for environmental issues, ironically he owns one of the most gas consuming cars in the world. (好容易让我编出这么个例句来！）
sarcastic 有更多感情色彩，有主观上的一种伤害，攻击的意愿，是坏的intention

还拿如花的例子说，这个情景对话两个词都能用到：
如花： hi 美女
美女： are you being sarcastic？
如花： i swear， i mean it， you are one of the most beautiful girls i‘ve even seen！
美女： thanks！ ironically i was just told by my brother：if you are not pretty，better be polite。

我来举个例子吧：

国内某市报纸，前天登载的是，某常务副市长主持廉政工作会议；今天就登载该副市长贪污1000万被双规。这个叫做ironic

办案人员敦促他交代问题。他说，还有那么多贪了3000多万的你们怎不抓呢？办案人员说，“你才贪1000万，很廉洁嘛！” 这个叫sarcastic

我觉得

ironic是两个情形之间的矛盾关系。比如“竹帘家照片上神采奕奕”和“实际上很劳累”的对比关系。比如“昨天领导还讲话”，“今天已经被革职”。

sarcastic是对某一事物的批评性的讽刺。比如“叫我美女是恶心我呢吧？”“才贪1000万，太廉洁了！”
