ironic:8 a- c2 R# Q& i b+ F% c" C- U
我在博客上帖了我们一大早赶飞机的照片,孩子们累得睁不还眼,我下面写的评注是: it's hard to tell that we were tired isn't it?
1 N: `9 S, Q: y$ ^% nthere, I was being ironic/ `/ H1 \2 x- I$ ` E0 Q9 W
ironic 还可以形容一个situation, 比如:al gore is portrayed as a front line fighter for environmental issues, ironically he owns one of the most gas consuming cars in the world. (好容易让我编出这么个例句来!)7 R( C! j5 S2 T( A" l7 m
sarcastic 有更多感情色彩,有主观上的一种伤害,攻击的意愿,是坏的intention- S6 a, o9 A6 I7 T* H! a( O& u+ l
. B: s+ ]7 n+ C还拿如花的例子说,这个情景对话两个词都能用到:/ N, U& ?5 k2 G' u
如花: hi 美女% {# p0 V& {* O2 j9 E7 a
美女: are you being sarcastic?
/ a! v; ^6 W% C* x" O如花: i swear, i mean it, you are one of the most beautiful girls i‘ve even seen!
, V' g5 v6 \4 g; y' {美女: thanks! ironically i was just told by my brother:if you are not pretty,better be polite。 |
