fun可以是名词，比如

, T. L& v" [* ^0 f1 f3 {We stayed in Hong Kong for seven days and had a lot of fun.

也可以是形容词，比如

: [' |6 g  I. `* Y5 }I think the most fun place is the Disneyland.
% n8 Q  h; n  u$ T, G# s
为什么用the most fun place 而不是 the funnest place呢？这是我在CBC听新闻学到的。我猜想原因是the funnest place 和 the funniest place 意义不同但发音一样，为了避免混淆，不用funnest这种形式。

3 B6 a2 G6 H2 tfunny大家都知道的意思是可笑，滑稽，或者有趣。

但我最近发现在英语里，funny的一个非常常见的固定用法是用于发生某些巧合的场景。

比如你家有朋友来吃饭，闲聊时他说有个什么旅游公司骗子成天打电话可真讨厌。你说

3 W+ H: g7 ?+ `1 _2 ]- F8 Y7 r' ~That's so funny. They called me right before you came.
